15 Amp, 125 Volt Non Grounding Plug, 48643, Brown

Not as hard to get apart as some had reported, not easy but a couple of small blade screwdrivers did the trick. Easy to install, used some heat shrink to make the cord fit better.

This is a very good quality non-grounded replacement plug. It is very strong and durable. The design is somewhat ugly. But, who cares? Quality is more important to me. As others have stated in their reviews, I did have a little trouble trying to get the plug apart so I could wire it. But, then I just read the instructions printed on the side of the plug. It stated to use a screwdriver and spread the plug apart. Once I did that, I had the plug apart in 6 seconds. Sometimes, it pays to read the instructions! Once apart, I loosened the two screws and wired it up. It was very easy and only took a few minutes. I snapped the plug back together and my light was as good as new.

Great price and perfect size for lamp plug replacement. Removing the inner part took a bit of effort. I found it easiest to use a small flathead screwdriver to lift the brown outer case over the wing while using another flathead to push the wing outwards (see photo). I wish the opening was smaller to better secure the cord, but overall pretty good.

replaced a lamp cord socket that had an intermittent wire. read the instructions (per another reviewer's suggestion) and it works like a charm. EZPZ

As others have noted, it was way more challenging to remove the cover than it should have been.

The product seems very sturdy. It has a thick rubber like shell and not hard plastic. It takes a minute to use a screw driver to release the locking taps which keeps the shell tight. There is a simple wire and screw connection. It has a great matching look with my original lamp cord. Great price and quality product.

The outer casing is extremely tight making taking it off and putting it back on very challenging.
