The JJCET-101 Lens Hood is a professional-grade accessory designed for Canon RF 200-800mm and RF 800mm F11 lenses. It features a reversible design for compact storage, a non-glare matte finish to minimize lens flare, and robust protection against impacts, making it an essential tool for serious photographers.

Fits and Locks perfectly to the Canon RF 600mm F11 lens
At 30% of the cost of Canon's own hood this JJC version is great value. The quality is good and the fit is perfect. The hood locks with a distinctive click on my lens. Not sure why some other reviewers have had a problem, unless early productions have been improved upon.

Solid, well built. Why spend more?
Unless you like to rep official branding there is no reason to spend any more on a lens hood. This is well built, clicks satisfyingly into place and is much better value than the official hood. It's simply designed to help shade your lens and it does so perfectly.

Better value than Canon original
Canon are really tight about lens hoods, they don’t supply them with lenses (except the L series), and charge silly prices for them. Fortunately, JJC make equivalents for one third the price. They might not have quite the same quality feel as the originals but I happily trade that for the considerable saving. In our weather, they keep rain off as much as sun and I don’t feel the need to add a UV filter which would degrade the image, as the hood protects the front element. Nevertheless, I still feel the JJC ones are quite expensive for what they are. Better than paying through the nose for Canon ones and do I have these for all three of my RF Lenses.

Bargain alternative to over-priced Canon lens hood.
Great lens hood for the Canon RF 800mm F11 lens. Much cheaper than the Canon ET-101 hood but does the same job. Note however, that the design of this hood and the lens bayonet means that if you want to use a UV filter on the lens it must be very slim with a very narrow frame in order to be able to use this hood. The only filter I've found that works with this hood is the Urth 95mm UV Lens Filter (Plus+) which is sold on Amazon here: https://smile.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B088C3RFQT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1. It has a very slim frame which allows you to slip the lens hood over the top. Most other filters are just too big and stop you putting the hood on which is annoying.

Good fit
I have bought 800 rf and 100-400 rf lens hood, very good quality, they have the button on the side for quick release. Would recommend.

Read this if you intend using a filter with the hood
This is a good and much cheaper alternative to the expensive Canon hood. Earlier problems with the hood not 'clicking' in place appear to have been solved. However, I had to return mine as it would not fit on the 800mm lens with either Marumi or Hoya protective filters already in place. The replacement Canon hood also does not fit over the Marumi filter but does over a Hoya protective filter, which has a thinner rim than the Marumi. If you do not intend using a filter then this hood is a much better buy than the Canon hood. If you do need to use a filter then you need a Canon hood and a filter with a very narrow 'rim' such as the Hoya one.
