I read the book by James Greenblatt "Nutritional Lithium: A Cinderella Story" about lithium orotate because of an anxiety-depression mood disorder that I have. For several years I've already taken a daily dose of 50 mg of desvenlafaxine, and the addition of this very low dose lithium orotate takes away all remaining anxiety and depression that is not resolved by the desvenlafaxine. My needs are for 4 of these each day, spaced every 6 hours. I imagine it would work just as well with 2 capsules every 12 hours, as an option for me. This brand also had nice safe inactive ingredients at a fairly good price, plus it offers the versatile 5 mg dosage. I take this Vital Nutrients brand of lithium orotate because of its value and quality.

These work very well for calming and peace of mind overall, also good for stressful times.

Great for anxiety
I don't take these consistently... just when I am feeling anxious or nervous about something and need to calm down. This works wonders. The first time I took it, my body was surprised, so I had a bit of a headache. After that, I did fine.

Helped my ADHD son
This was recommended to us by a doctor for my ADHD son. I give him a third of the capsule each morning. Within 2 days his behavior became less aggressive, more rational, & his attention in school improved so much it was like we had a different son. He still has the occasional bad day & outbursts of anger have decreased by 80% and we couldnt be happier! His self esteem has increased due to his more even behavior and as a mother that is the best part of it all! He's been taking the 1/3 along with a 1/4 tab if SAM-e for about 2 months and we'll never go without it.
