BenchMaster Pocket Guide - Fly Fishing - Fishing

I understand the idea of a pocket guide and the fact the construction is very nice, however, when it comes to usefulness it starts to drop immediately. Most of the information found within can be determined, found out, and watched online.What are missing are key knots from an arbor knot to a knot to tie flies. A few good knots would do wonders with this pocket guide and not the "ten commandments of stealth". You learn stealth from online videos to even mentors but need refreshers with knot tying.There is so much more that they could have added that it becomes a disappointment when you look at the pocket guide.Overall, a great construction and some nice information but lacks valuable information that would help beginners.

I've been fly fishing for 45 years and guided 15 of those years, this is an old standby and with it you will be able to understand which knots to tie when and how to tie them.

Pocket Guides Guide to Fly Fishing Knots is a very well made little book .It's a great little book to put in your fisherman's vest, so when you need to tie a knot that you may have forgotten how, you just pull it out of your vest pocket and look up the knotof your choice.I love it for two reasons.One:The book is made of plastic so water wont affect it.Two:It's small enough to put in your vest while fishing, so if you need to refer it,it's right there with you.Great idea with great instructions.

Excellently sized guide that fits vest pockets easily, and contains all the necessary knots in easily understood illustrations. Pages are all coated to be water resistant if not water proof. Definitely a handy purchase for those who are new to fly fishing or get a little rusty during the off season.

Nice little books, this is #3 that I’ve gotten so far we don’t actually use them as River or stream side references at all...but we do read them when we are flying, that time frame when your Cell Phone gets no serviceThese are excellent !
