Last Action Hero [4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital] [4K UHD]

I have to admit that when I first saw Last Action Hero in the summer of 1993 it left me flat. I really did consider it Schwarzenegger's blunder. Removed from all the hype, however, I've had to reassess my opinion. Actually, in 4K, looking light-years younger and amazingly bold and vibrant, Last Action Hero now is a rather fascinating, clever, very darkly-purposed actioner/comedy adventure flick that seems to have finally found its place in our post-apocalyptic/pandemic-riddled world. Arnold gives a good performance in this one, and while Austin O'Brien is still a bit too 'cute' for personal tastes, the buddy-buddy chemistry between these two is palpable and mostly engaging. The in-jokes are pretty funny too.Sony has mastered this one in native 4K and it looks incredible beyond all expectation. So, prepare to be dazzled by an image that never disappoints for a minute and is robust, colorful, nuanced and, in a word, perfect for viewing. You're going to love the way this one looks. The movie? Well, it's still open to interpretation. But I think it's far better than either critics of the day, or I - back in 1993 - gave it credit.

Great underrated action/comedy that merges many different genres into a film that examines 80s-90s action movies. Some absolutely incredible stunts and action sequences, along with memorable characters and hilarious moments make this one of Arnold's best.The picture quality is really good considering the films anamorphic film format, and lower quality scans for visual effects. No different than other movies with these constraints. HDR did the best it could with the limited range of film source (but better than the 1080p SDR scan). Audio was excellent true HD atmos. This makes this UHD the definitive version of this movie.Great job! And thank you for the collectible Steelbook with the awesome original poster art.

What a great action and fun blast from the past movie! The Steelbook edition arrived in pristine condition. The 4k disc plays great and the movie in 4k looks and sounds terrific. Awesome music soundtrack in the movie as well!

i am a arnold junkie needed last action hero 4k steelbook paid like 51.00 with shipping kinda expensive but thay only ones who had 4k steelbook omline thanks amazon

The picture quality is outstanding as if the film was shot yesterday. Film still holds up and hasn't aged too badly.

As described and delivered fast

A fantastic steelbook release of the underrated meta action-comedy Last Action Hero! The steelbook design is amazing, the picture quality is incredible...But take note: this is one of the first 4K/blu-ray combo releases I've ever purchased that includes all of its special features on the 4K disc, NOT the blu-ray. So if you were thinkin' of buying this for the brand-new features and commentary, but you don't actually HAVE a 4K player, I'm sorry to say you're out of luck.
