Absolutely over the moon with this book and would recommend it without hesitation. Hands down the best book I’ve read on Autism. Written by a Mother about her son Dylan, a very real and honest approach to autism, so much advice and information. An absolute must for parents, i can’t fault it. I found out that this book existed whilst watching a video on the authors YouTube channel... the channel is also fantastic and Dylan is just fabulous, what a little star!!!

I could not put this book down when I first got it.Tara is very honest about the challenges of raising a child on the spectrum but she is also full of hope and she has great advice about so many issues we face as parents. Something really cool that I thought about this book is that both her and Andrew (her husband) share the effect that autism had in their relationship and how important is to be each other’s best friend through it all.We follow her YouTube channel that’s also “coming home to autism” and it’s been a game changer for our family.This book is a most have. :)

I am really impressed with this book and would highly recommend for parents with a child who has recently been diagnosed with autism. It is extremely clear and offers an honest, at times very heartfelt, picture of what living with an autistic child is like but also tried and tested ideas to help. I am a paediatric occupational therapist and will definitely be recommending this to the families I work with.

I really loved this book. I’m a 27 year old single parent with no Autism experience. I really appreciate all of the insight this book gave me, its a quick read and has a lot of helpful suggestions.
