I use the chair mat under my feet/ankles in bed and it works great. My logic was if it works under your feet while seated, why wouldn't it work under your feet while lying down? I'm happy to report that it does. If you're not sure about going all in with a body mattress, I suggest you try this. If you eventually move up to the bed mat, you can always use the chair mat somewhere.I didn't think I would like the feel of the full-body mattress mat and I'm not a fan of nude sleeping so I got the 2-pack chair mats, one for bed and one for work (on the floor under my bare feet). I was right — the mats don't feel exactly like padded plastic but they're close enough that I know I couldn't adjust to it. So, I sleep with the mat on top of a fitted sheet in direct contact with my skin. I don't have trouble keeping the mat under one or both feet all night because it doesn't slide around and checking its position with my toes has become an easy habit.This is how I enjoy the benefits of grounding, especially for one ankle that was broken in 5 places. The swelling and pain after walking around on it all day is greatly improved, as is the arthritis in my hands. Good Luck!

I bought these mats for my granddaughter who is under a lot of stress, and is extremely sensitive, because I wanted to do something to help her relax and get some solid nights sleep. I have been using one of these every night for over a year, and it is a miraculous little thing, bringing those wonderful, abundant free electrons into my body, from the earth. With the mat directly on the skin of my chest, I am able to relax and fall asleep quicker than without it, and I sleep so soundly that I don’t hear my husband get up for his bathroom breaks. Before, every time he’d wake up, I’d wake up, because I hear everything. I sleep so well with this mat, and I gave these to my granddaughter—she can share one with her sister or her mother. Anyway, she was excited to try it, because I told her how I felt, using it. The very next day, and again three days later, she texted me saying she has been getting to sleep faster and is sleeping “harder,” more solidly, than ever before, and she thanked me. I knew this would be good for her health, and I really wanted to help her. Now she is a believer in the free electrons, since she feels it for herself. I highly and completely recommend these mats, and this price is great, since you get two.

I purchased a tester to check this. It will not work through clothing. I still gave it 4 stars because it works well. I have felt better since I started grounding.

My son’s dog had diarrhea for 3 days (first photo). He called me very upset, I told him several weeks prior to put another brand grounding mat down. The dog keep trying to rip it up wouldn’t lay on it. So when he called me, I took Clint Ober’s mat over to his house. I laid the mat on his bed along with the other mat. The dog was very weak and had lost weight.After 2 hours of him being grounded, ate some boiled chicken breast, and a banana, drank some water during this two hour period. My son took him outside twice to use the bathroom also. I also had a grounding strap on my wrist. I kept rubbing him and speaking positive words into the universe. After barely being able to stand up, to standing up strong. The vet gave him medicine for the diarrhea, told him the dog is healthy and what ever he was doing to keep doing it.The next day the dog threw the other mat off his bed and will only lay on Ober’s mat without being told (second photo).I will only recommend these products for grounding. The dog made a believer out of me. Thank you Clint for helping so many.

After about a month of using this I had written it off as just another hype product aimed at people trying to improve their health. I was curious if another product would be more effective and noticed that both this product and others talked of open cords and non-conductive mats. I pulled out my multimeter and found that not one but both cords I had received were completely open (should be closed with 0 resistance). One of my pads measures about 1800 ohms between the conductive side and the cable snap. The other pad measures about 1500 ohms. I would argue that these should be zero also. I would be interested in hearing from the manufacturer about why it has resistance.It has been a few months since this purchase and I am currently on holiday and don't want to deal with an Amazon return when I am trying to relax. If I get satisfaction and the company sends me new cables and pads then I will reassess this 1 star rating after trying a working product. In the meantime I will caution buyers to get a multimeter that will test resistance and use it on this product before wasting time thinking you are getting any benefit.I have received a response from the seller stating that the cables contain a 100K ohm resistor. It is impossible to have a clean ground connection with 100K ohms of resistance in the signal path. I also did some voltage measurements of my body. Not connected to the ground pad my voltage is 1.5V. Connected to the pad my voltage increases to about 7V fluctuating up and down. This product is a complete fraud.I would recommend others to experiment with ground rods and plain wire (no resistance) connections to whatever conductive material makes the most sense to see if an actual ground connection will give results. If you are worried about lightning strikes install a fuse. Otherwise try standing outside barefoot. It is impossible to be grounded with such high resistance and the possibility of noise on the ground wire of your homes electrical system.If I could rate this product negative stars I would.
