I used to buy this a a local Amish store for my son. We now live in different states and far from that store. Nevertheless he, who is a chef, loves this mix for his pancakes and muffins at home. I send them annually and they are greatly appreciated.

Weak pumpkin spice flavor

The flavor is awesome and there is actual pumpkin gin the mix. Quality product.

Did not taste good. I do not use syrup so unable to drown out the taste that way. I had to add cinnamon sugar to the batter to make them palatable.

I'm always on the lookout for pumpkin pancake mix, but it can be a bit expensive off-season. This seemed to be a good deal, so I took a chance. On the plus, it's easy to make, and the consistency is fine. The problem? The flavor is somewhere between non-existent and just plain bad. I suppose there's a health aspect to this particular brand that may be appealing to some, but if that's not your main concern, look elsewhere. I don't typically waste food, but I threw out about half the first batch, because I couldn't stomach it anymore. I will likely be throwing out the rest of the mix or finding a daring soul who wants to try to identify any real pumpkin flavor in these things themselves. It's just not there. In fact, they're just plain bad. Very disappointing.
