National Hardware N245-126 3260BC Eye Bolt in Galvanized

Finding galvanized rigging at the local hardware store has basically become impossible. So having access to an on-line source is really helpful. The one thing to keep in mind with the way these bolts are sized, is that unlike most bolts, the eye is NOT included in the length. An 8" bolt is 8" from the shoulder below the eye to the threaded end. I will say that stuff like this justifies having a prime membership, otherwise the shipping would kill you.

I have no technical data to support this observation, but -- like others who've commented unfavorably no these bolts -- the fit, finish, appearance, and lumpiness of the material just doesn't leave me sufficiently confident to use them to hold anywhere close to their 2200 pound stated capacity. Furthermore, they come with a warning "not for overhead use" which further undermines their credibility.

Complete piece of crap, and dangerous to boot! The screw threads and shaft are undersized: despite being clearly labeled on the tag as a 1/4" bolt, the shaft cleanly fits through a 3/16" washer! In my case, the supplied nut stripped the threads of the bolt with ease, dumping the 50 lb planter I was hanging all over my patio.Nope, nope, nope: do *not* trust this POS for anything! Amazon, drop this from your warehouse for safety reasons!

I dont know why we buy this kind of stuff from China. It is junk. I had to rethread the shaft so I could get a nut on it. the galv coating filled the threads and the nut that was on it was very hard to remove and was useless after getting it off.Don't buy this if you want to use it for what it is made for. I ordered the 5/8" eye bolts and got China Junk also.

It is exactly as described. I bought it to attached the electric service to the wall of my house before finding out that the Electric Company does supply them for free. I'll use this one for something else, that's all.

Needed this "I" bolt for some x braces on our new deck and worked well. I really liked the loaded this bolt could take.

It should meet the requirements for an overhead service I'm installing. Not US made though.
