First 50 Disney Songs You Should Play on the Piano

Simplified to the point of being wrong
This is in many ways a really nice book. You can pick it up, and as an beginner you'd probably be very happy with it.However many of the songs have been simplified down to the point where they don't really sound right. If you have more than a couple of years of piano under your belt you might find this book a little irritating. I'm still glad i bought it as the kids don't care, but there are better arrangements out there of the big Disney numbers for even a fairly low level player.

Great for experienced beginner/intermediates
I’ve started playing piano again after dabbling in it on and off for most of my life, so I know the basics, just needed a refresher, and I bought this book as I’m a big fan of Disney. Some are harder than others (How Far I’ll Go will be a no-go for me for a very long time yet), but some I’ve already learnt, and know off by heart. It’s great if you know the basics and are refining skills to get up to intermediate level, or intermediate wanting to show off before using higher books and arrangements. But if you are starting from scratch, I wouldn’t recommend.

Not for a complete beginner
My 8 year old daughter has been having piano lessons for nearly 18 months and is really enjoying the pieces in this book. She's excited to be playing a couple at the school mini concert later this month. Her brother is 7 and has only been playing for a few weeks and these are well beyond him. There are books with much easier arrangements to encourage complete beginners. The classics are all there. Just missing 'We don't talk about Bruno'!

Brilliant to self-teach!
I'm teaching myself Piano during this coronavirus pandemic, to keep my mind busy while we're not able to go out as much. I've used this book to learn some of my favourite Disney songs and it's brilliant. Really easy to read, nice and big text and of course the songs are amazing. Thoroughly recommend to anybody who's a Disney fan!

Good for kids
Just what I wanted to get my daughter practicing again, just done Grade 1 and this book has rekindled her interest. She can practice and learn these independently.
