Referee Whistle Fox 40 with CMG RefSwhistle (No Lanyard Supplied) for Soccer, Football, Umpire, Officials

I’m a teacher. Fox40 is the only acceptable brand (lol). This works great. Nice and loud and will last a long time.

This little monster is loud, light and made well. I bought it initially for reffing, but use it for all sorts of situations when you absolutely have to cut through the noise or signal to others where you are.

For years, I've had a metal whistle attached to my key chain & I've never once used it. Recently, I've taken up walking in a large, treelined meadow; one round is about a third of a mile. There are short segments during the walk when I'm out of my husband's view & earshot. Wildlife is present beyond the tree line in the surrounding forest. I felt the need to create a measure of personal security to alert my husband in case of an accident. The metal whistle on my key chain was inadequate giving only a weak & raspy sound. I wanted a whistle loud enough to be heard within a half mile. There may be whistles specifically designed for personal security, but I searched for a professional referee whistle knowing those can be heard over a fair distance. Eagerly, we went to the area where I walk a few rounds to experiment using the whistle & to find out if my husband could hear it well. In two different places, both being of furthest distance from his vehicle, I blew---& It's loudly shrill!---& my husband did indeed hear it clear as a whistle! Now, on its product page, it states no lanyard is included so I also bought a breakaway one in a bright color. Guess what? A black lanyard was included with the whistle, but I prefer & use the one I bought. Hopefully, I'll never have to use this whistle either, but I can walk my roundabouts feeling a bit more secure & able to get assistance if necessary.

This particular whistle doesn’t sound like the one I bought before. Sounds very weak, not as strong as all the other ones I’ve used.

I bought this whistle in hopes that it would help protect my teeth while I am officiating. The whistle itself works just fine, no problems there. However, the cushioned piece around the mouthpiece is the problem. So it gets underneath of it and then will start to leak out of it. I was constantly having to take the whistle out of my mouth because of that. Just not convenient when you’re officiating.

My husband likes that it is loud and does not have a small pea that might get wedged.

These are the best referee whistles ever. The sound is exceptional and they actually look so professional. Worth paying the extra as they will last a long time. But them!

I would prefer to look like as it was presented, I use as a referee.

Loved the teeth protector stops you biting down on the whistle. Nice and loud but not a horrible noise. Just right for umpiring a match. Very pleased with it.
