Welding Helmet

Holding up very well using daily and heavy for couple months, I am structure welding working in alot of confine and tight places sometimes alot of mirror welding, the top leather didn't really go over my head very well but the bottom one it's an good add to my PPE, the drop drop in lens are good for what it is and the flip up is great for some light inter pass cleaning but I wouldn't wear for heavy duty grinding and cleaning but in a pinch it's an really good time saving. For the price you good a nice little package.

I changed out the head bad with a Jackson safety head band. In my opinion its the best head band in the industry. Drill out the square holes with a 9/16th bit and I had to open up where you put the lens to accommodate an automatic lens.

Awesome confined space welding hood. Made well and allows you to reach into tight welding spaces.

The leather isn't long enough and poorly held with little velcro tabs. The harness has no hold and won't tighten. The paint doesn't hold up. Spend your money on a quality cut down hood. This ain't it.

The hood is solid and well made. I like the quality of the Sellstrom flip top lens better than what is made by Fibre Metal. It makes it easy to change out the front lens cover. The headgear is comfortable so far. The headgear ratchet is a little hard to turn but works. I was going to use this with my 2x4 drop in ADF lens from ArcOne. The slot is just about a 1/32 too small for it to slide in. I could solve the problem with a knife file but I shouldn't have to do that and don't want to. The bottom leather works well at coverage but the top leather doesn't cover the head like I thought it would. It wants to stick straight up instead of relaxing over the head. It's a solid hood for tight spots but no being able to use the auto-darkening lens is disappointing.

Ok hood, auto lens does not fit, coverage is good, pretty large for confined space , bout the same as having an outlaw hood. Much better options in this price range and cheaper

Great hood i use It daily only reason its not 5 star is because of the leather the Velcro is a joke i pop riveted to the hood and fixed the to so sparks can’t make it in the hood
