Worth it for me
This is outstanding. The print was very easy to read for me . I have the larger manual but , this is Fine for a quick reference in the field if needed . I will be packing this instead. For myself I can make out everything listed without the use of my glasses . I carry my set of eyes with me anyway To carefully operate the radio without any mishaps. Font should be made larger
I have looked at the nifty manuals for years thought how wonderful they would be as a quick reference. After purchasing the icom 705, I purchased the nifty manual which is professionally done and clear, however the font appears to be much smaller than the traditional 12 point or 11 that is used in normal correspondence. Makes it extremely difficult and fatiguing to the eyes in order to read the manual. That's my only criticism but it is an important one I think most would agree to have one extra page or two in order to have a larger font. Today's radios are far more complex and require greater user interaction. If one is easily frustrated with the manual then it will just collect dust. It's an easy fix guys

Great resource
These Nifty mini-manuals are just that.....nifty! The are a great resource, especially after you know basic functions. These manuals (the whole series and the IC-705 manual is no exception) are a great way to quickly find out how to do something with the radio. I keep mine next to the radio at all times and rarely need the manufacturer's manual anymore. Could not recommend more highly.

Everything needed to take advantage of all functions
Short, sweet and to the point.

Too much $ for too little help.
Not much help beyond the basic manual. Other than the cover photo, there are no graphics to help locate or explain functions. To pack a lot into 28 pages, the print is microscopic. Might be useful if you’re stuck in the field away from a more complete reference. Compact format with laminated pages. High price for questionable benefit. I was going to return it, but will probably toss it in my go bag, just in case.
