it's versatile in that I can plant flats or use dividers and the humidity can be controlled by spinning the wheel. it's not heavy plastic but it isn't cheap flimsy plastic, so I'm not worried about them collapsing when fully planted

I like that these are a three pack ,they seem sturdier since they are small and I can keep my starts separated from each other.These are better than what my local store has.

UPDATED: Customer service contacted me and sent a full replacement with no issues so I updated my review from 2 stars to 5 stars!You get what you pay for I guess...The price was a great deal so I can see them being a thinner type of plastic. However, there was one lid that was cut wrong and one whole edge is cut off so the lid won't even stay on the seed tray. Also there were 2 other lids that were cracked when i opened them. The lids are not cut the same by a noticible amount, so some fit great and some are too tight so they pop off and won't hold the moisture in. Others are too loose and they slide and fall off with any movement so it allows the moisture to escape too...kind of defeats the purpose of buying them.The clear seed tray inserts are nice and are made from thick durable plastic. They seem like they will hold up for more than just one season of gardening.The bottom black trays are pretty decent quality also and are functioning as they are supposed to.If the lids were cut more consistently so they actually fit correctly I would have given these a 4 star review.

This is two six-cell planting containers in a box with an humidity top and great for starting seeds indoors. The cell packs are a little flimsy and will warp if you leave them out alone in direct sun. They are fine in the container with the top on. Seeds grow very well and quickly. Needs little maintenance and has vents at the top to control humidity. The two pack is a great deal, as well. They are also reusable, which makes it an even better deal.

The clear domes fit perfectly 😁 a very good product!!! I am buying MORE !! So happy with these grow pots. Additional small tools are helpful also !!

I don’t understand. I’m a definite amateur gardener but I’ve never had trouble with other seed starting trays. This one was waste of time and money.

I bought these to start some plants for spring after I was blessed with so many seeds from the Indiana Backyard Gardener seed exchange. I wanted to start tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers mainly, but I threw in eggplants just because I had some seeds. I did not have bottom heat set up for round one. I had very good germination with the tomatoes and cucumbers, good germination with the peppers and excellent germination with the eggplants. Tragedy struck right after I potted up some seedlings and started to harden them off. I had foolishly left my mini greenhouses outside with no severe weather expected. A severe storm hit, blew over the seed shelves and blew away 2 mini greenhouses. BOTH greenhouses were eventually located UNDAMAGED! Unfortunately I did lose some seedlings.The trays are the small ones for those who want to transplant seedlings young, please understand these are not the cell size of the packs you see for retail sale. They are for seed starting. For someone just starting out with starting tomatoes from seed, I recommend these.

The vent mounting hole cracks if you remove the dial. Very flimsy plastic. Otherwise very nice. For the price, it's amazing.
