Perfect Carry On for the Price
I looked forever to find a bag that would fit international carry on standards. It is a difficult thing to find in the United States. I tried the bag on a 6 day trip where it was in and out of hotels every day and held in the overhead on the flight. The bag has straps inside so the clothes stay in place. It fits a surprising amount of stuff inside. The bag seems sturdy. It stood upright and did not fall over like other bags. The handle worked perfectly. The bag was very easy to pull around. The dimensions are as quoted. For the price, it's a terrific bag so far. The only thing that would make this bag better would be spinner wheels.Update 2 years later:This bag has been all over the world and held up really well for the price. We bought 2 of them and the stitching is one is just coming apart in one small area. I'm going to have it fixed since the bag has been so great. The wheels, handle, zippers all perform perfectly. It's easy to carry with handles on 3 sides. It has lots of interior space. There's no area for hanging clothes though. It has fit as a carry on on - United, Delta, Virgin, American, Jet Blue, Southwest, Ryanair, Veuling, Air Berlin and Easy Jet. We rarely check in our bags so I don't know how it would hold up to lots of luggage handlers. These have been checked in around 5 times.

Excelent Quality for the Price
I bought this smaller size suitcase because I didn't want to pay $50 (roundtrip) fee for checking baggage. I did notice some bad reviews for this particular suitcase, but I had no problems whatsoever with it. The only small thing is that the inside liner has a zipper, but has no pull for it. I just attached a pull made from a plastic-coated paper clip, and it works well. The only inside pocket is on the inside of the top. It is mesh, the full length of the top, with a zipper to keep things in. It went on my Thanksgiving trip to South Carolina and back and it is still in good shape. I even got compliments on it from family. It holds more than you would think and the expanding top side is a good bonus. The price of this was less than the baggage check fee would have been for the roundtrip fare, had I taken my larger bag. Since you don't check it, you have to limit your liquids and gels to a 1-quart bag-- a slight inconvenience. Overall, I like it!

It will not be a good choice for people who are rough on things
We just returned from a 1 week vacation with this bag. Here is what I know: The quality is consistent with most Chinese products. It was missing a zipper pull when I received it. It will not be a good choice for people who are rough on things...or travel frequently. The pull handle is definitely susceptible to rough usage if you are not careful. For me, I take 2-3 trips a year and I am careful with things. It is a perfect size for carry-on. So, for me the cheap price and perfect size make sense. I would recommend this to a person who meets the guidelines above.

Not worth it.
This luggage held up for about a month and then began falling apart. The zipper for the main compartment ripped on both sides so I was constantly worrying about my belongings falling out. The wheels were next to go, with the rubber casing ripping off leaving the plastic wheel exposed (resulted in loud whirring sound when dragging my suitcase through airport). Most recently, the handle broke off. This was a nice suitcase for someone who maybe travels twice a year, but any more than that, invest your money elsewhere.

The right size!
I have a previous version of this suitcase and it has traveled well so I looked for this for my son.The size is perfect for airline criteria: 14x9x22 and it is light. The outside pockets are useful and it is expandable but then would exceed airline limits. Inside are 2 clothing straps and one pocket on the flap.. Nothing too creative but everything is there that you need for packing. There is no side handle but there is a helpful bottom handle. We prefer the older 2 wheel style because the popular 4 wheel upright rolling cases take up too much of the vertical dimension with wheels and they just look easy to break off. These wheels look strong.

Inexpensive but sturdy - did the job for 3 weeks in Europe
I was a little worried after reading other reviews showing wheels that had shredded, but we used these for 3 weeks while traveling in Europe, including on rail and traveling to a new place almost every day, and they worked great. They still look good as new. The collapsible handles were also sturdy, and I know that those can often be the weakest link. I would buy this again.

Had trouble with the wheels
I like the bag. I like the size of the bag. It is within the carry on size regulations. My problem with the bag is the wheels. At times I couldn't get it turned easily to get it rolling. It got caught in the escalators a couple of times and more than once I couldn't get it to start rolling. It was frustrating!

Well worth the money on this one
I have to say that this was a great find when I was looking for a cost effective travel suitcase. Very light weight and lots of room. Seems to be well built and have not had any problems with the handle going up or down. Great for the price.
