DB Electrical SMU6072 Starter Solenoid Relay Compatible with/Replacement for 1995-2015 Yamaha Motorcycle 4DN-81940-00-00

As soon as I hooked this bad boy up to my motorcycle it stuck closed and tried to burn my starter up. Luckily I had the battery box open so I was able to disconnect the negative cable immediately. After multiple tests it stuck about 25 percent of the time. Will be returning to Amazon as it is defective and will not be purchasing another one. I already ordered the OEM part from Yamaha for $117. I would suggest you do the same, as it's cheaper than trashing your whole bike which is what I am afraid this cheaper part will eventually do.

Exact replacement part for my 08 V Star 1100. Easy to install.

Ordered for my V Star 1100. I had ordered one from another company and it was backwards for my bike. The one from DB Electrical was made correctly and had adequate quality parts. The housing popped apart when I was installing on my bike. Connections were ok so I just added some glue and snapped it back together. Selonoid has been working fine for the past few months if there are any problems I'll update my review.

So far, so good. Installed on 2006 XVS1100 Custom and has functioned through 5-6 start-ups. The last starter relay I purchased on Amazon lasted under a minute; before it shorted out on me.

Installed without issue and the bike started right up! then I hear a strange whir under my loud exhaust. Relay is stuck open... and my starter is burning away. Awesome. The only way to stop this is to disconnect the battery. Not taking a chance on another one.

This worked great. I installed it in my 2007 Yamaha V star 1300, and she started up like a charm

I ordered what I thought was the right part and amazon sent a warning at the top that it wasn't for my application. I was redirected to this part. Thank you, thank you! Right part, right application! Wonderful! It runs!

Stuck open. Turned over starter over and over until ground pulled from battery. Junk. Buy oem.
