Purchased for identifying markings on SMD electronic components, and it works great for that. Already had a loupe, but found my head was always blocking the light (it's not excessively big) making the task difficult. The built-in illumination works very well and solves that issue. The magnification is adequate for the intended use. The UV light also works well, though I have little use for that feature. It seems robustly built—enough that I seldom return it to its case. The loupe gives the impression that it was modified from the same item without illumination by forcing in a spacer so that the outer frame cleared the LEDs and switch (not an issue, it just looks odd).

Very pleased, well constructed and las is ideal for reading hallmarks.Recommended.

Not sure if it’s my eyes not working but under the led illumination glare is impossible to eradicate so hallmarks are impossible to see. In daylight it works fine. Nicely packaged and metal quality seems ok

Great quality for the price.

I love this. I was struggling to see detail in my jewellery and this does the job. It looks and feels well made and I love that it comes in its own little box. The light and blue light are great features.
