I have had mine for only a few months. I was out at 5:00 AM they were still on. Just keep the solar part clean. I love mine.

Would these be great for camping? Put out side of up camper?

Get a Luci light. Much better for camping.

Can I charge the battery from an electrical point on cloudy days?

I cannot connect to an outlet, but even on a cloudy day the light is sufficient to charge the device for several hours. Only if it rains all day the lights appear a little dimmer.
