Great First Hangboard
My first hangboard, so I don't have a lot to compare it too, but so far it's been great!

Great Hangboard and App info
I love this hangboard. It is a great option for smaller spaces or people on a budget. Metolius makes a few different options of the simulated rock texture and this is the smallest behind the Foundry and the Simulator 3D. I went for the smaller because my gym has pretty much every other hangboard and I just wanted something discreet for home workouts.Install was pretty straight forward. Metolius reccomends using a piece of 3/4" plywood mounted to at least 2 wall studs, and then mount the hangboard to the plywood using the provided deck screws. This allows for more even weight distribution and will prevent you from taking a decker onto your tile floor. DO NOT mount this into just drywall.A MUST HAVE for any of Metolius training boards is an app in the Play Store by TankT72. For this board it is called "Project Hangboard Training PRO". It pairs with this board abnd is probably the best hangboard app out there. It will show which holds to use and will do all the counting and rest intervals for you. It comes with about 20 workouts, but it is also fully customizable. It is a great app and only cost $1.49 at the time of this review.Sorry iPhone users, no apple app for it yet.

Sturdy and works well!
This thing is heavy, and definitely takes some strength to install correctly! You should put a sturdy piece of wood behind it, if you want it to hold up really well, and then install it to that piece of wood.If you do that, it's a great pull-up piece! There are tons of different grips with different finger arrangements. There are some super challenging ones, and then there are some easier ones that use your entire grip if you want! Overall, it definitely fit the bill - good pull-up piece, a bunch of different grips, and a pretty good price! Very study construction, as well.Overall, I would definitely recommend it!

Love metolius products
The product was shipped the day i ordered it and delivered next day even though i used the free basic 6-7 day shipping, i was extremely impressed by the speed of getting the product to me.The product came in white with blue swirls which is not the color scheme i ordered; however, it is the scheme i wanted for it to match my rock rings. The board holds up great and holds are deep for a beginner climber such as myself to gain the finger and forearm strength i need through the basic exercises that can be preformed. All around great product.

good product for the money
I had thought I was ordering the blue one, but the green came instead. Really OK though - no biggie. The main issue to think about is hanging it. I needed an electric drill to put the screws in. The Philips head insert to the drill was not long, and hence the drill came in contact with the board. This left marks and chips on the board, as the material is no match for the drill. Ideally, you'd need a long stem to the Philips head to avoid damaging the product. For the final few twists, I needed an old fashioned screwdriver, as the torque on the drill was not slow enough, and would have stripped the screw in place (without it going completely in). Again, ideally, maybe attach this to a board, and then attach the board to the wall. The next issue is it's somewhat heavy. If you don't put it in well, it's going to crash into your head. Although adults should be careful enough, I bought this for my child as well. Watch out for swinging. It's not something for unattended children (even older ones), unless you know for sure you've attached it well. In my case, I put it into what should be a primary support beam in my basement. This should be safe, but you never know, as my house beams in basements are covered with drywall or the like. Without being able to inspect the beam, you can't be fully certain of the beam's condition and ability to hold the screws... Hence, supervision is a must.

amazing training tool for those days I cannot make it ...
amazing training tool for those days I cannot make it to the climbing gym (which unfortunately happens more often than I'd like to admit). I did not want a boring pull up bar I wanted something that I would always be stoked to use. I hit the training board on a daily basis even if I am just walking past it I stop and do a few hangs and pull ups. Mounted to the edge of the roof of the patio; no more hanging from the edge of the roof for pull ups this fits perfect. Included drywall screws secure to a 2 by 6 and I just drilled for bolts through that for mounting

The kids and I use it
My girls use it mostly to supplement gymnastics training, but they climb a little as well so this is good for the cling-on hand strength. This one has same holds as my 2001-2 version, but it feels a bit smaller/ more narrow.

Same as my old one.
Same as the model I bought years ago. Good quality and same feel.
