Does the screen have a back light like picture shows on the Amazon selling page?

Hi. You were smart to question this. The bright green light is very deceiving. When I look at this screen it hard to read, and I always keep a flashlight next to the phone in order to see the screen. I just went back on to Amazon website and if you do the same and scroll down you will see a picture of this model # with the "real" picture. Two different versions are on the website. One bright green and the one I described to you. Hope this helps.

Can the speaker phone feature be used without lifting the receiver? Just touch "speaker" & dial or answer incoming call?

How can volume be raised, not the ringer the volume for the listener when using this phone?

At the bottom, middle of the phone is a volume up/down button. Using this while on the call will raise the volume of the conversation. The ringer volume is on the right side of the phone, towards the front.
