Boring read
I started reading the book immediately after it was delivered yesterday. I have to be honest about 7 pages in, I was bored and put it down. It’s very self indulgent, which was expected. Not sure if I’ll pick it up again. His life actually isn’t that interesting. I think whats selling this book, is the fact he has came to terms with his sexuality and people want to know about it. Other than that, it’s a boring read so far.

Save your money!
Very disappointing! Doesn’t tell us anything we didn’t already know. No mention of when he thought he was gay? When did he realise? Does he fancy men? We know how difficult this must have been for his family but they are standing by him which is admirable. Save your money don’t bother with this!

Sorry but I couldn’t finish it
I’ve long had a soft spot for Philip since my sons were small and he showed us how to make a cheap Thai salad. After his recent revelations and ensuing autobiography i thought I’d support him by buying a copy. I’m interested in autobiography was was interested in getting to know him better. Unfortunately I couldn’t finish it and literally threw it out in the street (alongside a few other books I might add and someone immediately picked it up).I got more than half way through and apart from the turgid writing style I gained no further sense of Schofield as a person. It read like a poorly edited cv and as such was so boring. How on Earth he could remember such details of every job he’d ever had when there was nothing remarkable disclosed apart from a vague mention of Saville. Sorry Philip but I wasted £10. I actually got more out of his review of Christmas toys last night.
