101 Story Starters for Little Kids: Illustrated Writing Prompts to Kick Your Imagination into High Gear

My son was struggling to write everyday for school so I started looking online for some help and found this book.. it is very age appropriate and has good imaginative story starters.. my son is 8 and in the second grade.. he doesn’t fight me to write as much as before..

The story starters are interesting enough to make a child want to finish them. My daughter loves it and wants me to make up story started all day. Its an awesome way to improve the reading and writing skills of my first grader while helping her mind grow into anything she can imagine.

My 8 year old LOVES these story starters. Such a great way to keep kids writing. And no pressure on the parent to come up with a topic. My daughter goes through the book every morning and picks a topic. So fun! I love reading what she comes up with.

After reading another helpful review, as soon as the book was delivered I discreetly made DIY stickers from some blank labels I had on hand to remove any sign that this is for “little” kids. My son is in 2nd grade so squarely in the target range, but he would not be excited to try this if he thought it was for little kids - he’s a “big kid.” So now our book is for “Awesome” kids and we are excited to try some of these fun and creative prompts. I think this will be a great resource to pull out and easily have my kiddo dive into some handwriting practice through creative and imaginative storytelling. I can’t wait to see what tales he comes up with.
