Q: I am 5' 7'' and quite fat and 37inch waist. Which size should I get?

I'm about the same, to ensure a good coverage I buy xxxl due to a bit of a beer belly, I'd suggest ordering two, one in xxxl, one in xxl.

Q: Are these the sort of stretchy type t or are they proper heavyweight ?

They are really comfy. I dont find them heavyweight and they do have some stretch in them but not excessive.
