A show-stopping, eye-popping blue planet adventure!
From the chilly Arctic Ocean to the topical Caribbean Sea, the coloured coral shores to the deepest, darkest depths, dive into an underwater wonderland and meet the world's oceans and seas in this show-stopping, eye-popping blue planet adventure!Written in a bubbly, irresistible rhyme, Caryl Hart has expertly packed an ocean worth of fun and information into friendly, accessible bite-sized story chunks that will delight little readers. But this lively, deep sea story isn't without a nod to the climate crisis as Hart shines a sobering yet soft light on the vulnerability of our oceans and the damaging impact human interactions (plastic waste, pollution and shipping) is causing to our marine ecosystems.Swimming in florescent pops of colour and all manners of scaly, slippery, shimmery sea creatures, Bethan Woollvin has once again proved herself as an artist extraordinaire. With a shift of an eye and flick of a smile, Woollvin's distinctive visual style has masterfully brought each watery world and its magnificent animal arks to life for little readers to befriend and connect with.Meet the Oceans is a treasure trove of discovery and delight. It's a love song to our oceans and the ideal introduction to the importance of caring for them.

A vibrant bustling book for young ocean explorers to enjoy.
This vibrant, bustling book is the perfect point for young readers to dive into the mysterious and beautiful underwater worlds of the planet’s oceans and seas. Hart’s text, whilst bouncy and a total joy to read aloud, is full of facts about the myriad of creatures who inhabitant these diverse habitats. From the bustling shipping lanes of the South China Sea to the technicolour oasis of the Caribbean Sea – all are represented, along with a timely warning about the threat of plastic pollution and ensuring that we all play our part in protecting the oceans.Bethan Woollvin’s glorious illustrations and bold colour palette brilliantly capture the wonder and movement of marine life. There’s plenty for little readers to explore and discover alongside the details shared in the text.

A must-have for any sea-loving picture book reader!
I knew we were going to love this book from the moment I heard about it. Caryl creates such wonderful rhyming picture books and Bethan’s illustrations are always a pure delight. Combine that, with the fact this is an ocean-themed book and we were all jumping up and down with excitement! And wow, this book did not disappoint.I am in awe of how Caryl has packed so many ocean facts into the bouncing rhymes. Caryl and Bethan take us on an underwater adventure in our very own submarine to discover the secrets of the Earth’s oceans and seas. Each page we explore a different ocean and meet the creatures that call it home. We also see how harmful plastic is to the ocean and that made my daughter very sad and ask what we could do to make sure it doesn’t happen anymore. This beautifully-illustrated, fast-paced, fact-filled picture book is a must-have for any sea-loving picture book reader.*I won this book in a giveaway. This voluntary review contains my honest opinion.
