OFM ESS Collection Mesh Back Office Chair, Armless, in Black (ESS-3000)

I bought this same office chair from Walmart and it lasted 3 years. The legs finally collapsed. Now I looked to replace it with the same chair, but Walmart is out, and the price here has more than doubled. Three years ago, I paid $44 at Walmart for the chair now it is $113. I bit the bullet and got the same chair again simply because it's better than the alternatives. It looks and feels heavy duty with few parts to assemble.

This year is the 4th anniversary that I have had this chair, and I have been waiting a long time to write this review. Right off the bat, not a single piece/part of the chair has EVER been damaged/ started squeaking/ has shown remotely significant signs of wear as to make the chair unusable. I am 140 pounds and have sat on this chair for around 7 hours every single day since I have assembled it, and can say with absolute certainty that this chair will last you a very very long time. I do not know how other customers have had a bad experience with this chair for this low of a price, maybe the manufacturers have changed the quality of parts since I purchased it in 2018, but assuming that this has not happened, GET THIS CHAIR! I also recently purchased a small super soft faux fur blanket to put over the chair as a sort of upgrade, and because of this simple yet effective enhancement, I am keeping this chair for another 4 years. The ONLY con of this chair is the dust accumulation behind the backrest of the chair, but even then that is to be expected with office chairs and is easily fixed if you cover it up like I have with the fur blanket.

I bought this for my craft room and didn't want to stress about it if my grandkids happened to get paint on it. It works well for that. I don't think I would use it daily as an office chair.

I've had this chair for 2 years and the seat padding has compressed to where I am sitting on the board. I weight about 240 lbs. Maybe this will last longer for a lighter person. I am considering taking apart the seat pad and replacing the padding with new memory foam.

I ordered two by mistake, and they ended up being lifesavers. Shortly after ordering, I realized I'd ordered two instead of one, but decided to keep them both. Putting them together was a breeze, and thy shortly became indispensable after I seriously hurt my back and it affected my ability to walk or stand for any length of time. One chair was in my office to roll around in from the laptop to the printer to the phone, and the other was in the kitchen so I could remain seated while I cooked, washed dishes, fed the dogs, let them out, etc. The chairs, for the price, are a STEAL. They're incredibly sturdy, well made, and supportive, and provided me with mobility at a time when I needed it most. I have a Herman Miller Aeron chair in my basement office, and these are just as comfortable for about 1/100th of the price. Thanks for a great product!

Good quality/ price ratio

This is so easy to assemble and use. It supports pretty heavy set weight. Overall great. Could have some extra cushion for sitting long periods of time.

Quality is good. Easy to assemble.One small thing is that the fore and aft movement of the seat back is very small/negligible on my unit.Apart from that, I would buy it again.
