I just started my electrical journey and this was everything i needed to start off on the right path. It came with a carrying case, and that’s easy for transportation. I came with a nice instructions manual. It was so quiet and accurate. Easy to read and luv its functionality. Over all it’s a great way to go.

It fits comfortably in your hand, and the controls are well laid out, making it easy to change settings with your thumb while holding the meter. In addition to measuring AC current with the clamp, it also measures AC/DC voltage, resistance, capacitance, and diodes, making it a versatile tool for both hobbyists and general electrical troubleshooting. The display is easy to read, includes a backlight, and I also appreciate the built-in LED flashlight on the front—it has come in handy more than once when working in dimly lit areas. Keep in mind that the AC current clamp only works when measuring a single conductor. This isn't immediately obvious if you're new to clamp meters, and it's easy to assume you can simply clamp around an appliance's power cord. Because the hot and neutral conductors carry equal and opposite currents, their magnetic fields cancel, so the clamp won't measure the appliance's current that way. You'll need access to a single conductor (or use a line splitter) to make an accurate measurement. Overall, this is a good value for the money. If you need an inexpensive, compact meter with a wide range of functions, it's hard to complain at this price point. Just be aware of the limitations of the clamp function and use it accordingly.

This was a great investment for me. My Highlanders alternator was bad and I needed to test its voltage output and came realize that I didn’t have a multimeter to test it. I bought this AstroAI and it came quick, at the same time I ordered an alternator just to be safe and ready. It is very easy to use, I accurately test the old alternator. Accuracy is important, so as functionality, display and appearance.

Works well so far, only used it a couple of times. Like the fact I don’t always have use the probes, put end of loop close to outlets and I get a reading display is easy enough to read. Good buy for the price

I purchased this clamp meter for basic electrical troubleshooting and have been happy with it so far. For those who are using this meter to measure AC current and getting very low numbers, you are very likely clamping around the hot wire as well as the return neutral wire (the two together, at the same time), and are thus measuring only the common mode current, which should be very low. In order to measure the current passing through your appliance, you need to clamp around only one conductor. If your appliance has a power cord of two conductors with a common jacket or sheath, or is in zip-wire format, you need to break out one of the conductors and clamp around just one conductor. It doesn't matter if you clamp around the hot or the neutral - you should get the same number in both cases. When I do current testing of an electrical appliance, I have a 1 ft extension cord that I've modified to break out the insulated hot and neutral wires. I then insert this extension cord between the wall outlet and the appliance, so that I can measure current delivered to the appliance without modifying the cable the emanates from the appliance. DO NOT HAVE ANY BARE WIRES, everything should be insulated. As for what I like about the meter, it has a good build feel to it and measures AC currents down to 5 mA, which is great for working on very low current AC control circuits.

Great product for a great price. Holds in your hand very easily since it's a slim model. It's for DIY projects, no Fluke needed. Carrying case is nice as well. Recommend this product!

Mine was very inaccurate especially with clamp amper meter. It was showing something around 10A as 0.4A . I returned it.
