The material works fine... the velcro and stick-on ways to create the windscreen do not work well on a small application. Just sew everything and it will work better. Given that, you may as well buy the windscreen material locally.

This material works great to dampen the wind gust that the camcorder picks up while videoing in the out-of-doors.

Simple but effective. I bought this for the built-in microphone on my Sony FDR-AX100 camcorder and it actually does not detract from the look of the camera at all. I just have a semi permanent square of black dead-cat fur material over the built-in mics and it does a substantial job at cutting down on wind noise. This kit made it easy to do exactly what I wanted without having to buy a bunch of extra material just to get a small square. Plus I have extra leftover if I need to make more for future cameras, which is inevitable as I am a bit of a camcorder junkie!

It stops the sound of the wind on my Go Pro mounted on my motorcycle helmet and that is what I needed.
