HIS "Total" Shaving Solution Shave Oil for Men- 36.8 ml

I have a normal beard, no challenges. I use a Norelco rotary shaver. I don't like shaving dry - some sort of lubrication makes shaving much easier and more effective. I have used Williams Lectric Shave for many years, but I decided to give this shaving oil a try. I like it. Following the directions, I just put two drops in the palm of my hand and then smear it around my face and neck. It smells nicer than Lectric Shave and works at least as well for me. I normally don't use water - the oil is enough to lubricate things, but when I do wet my face after applying the oil, the shave is even closer. This one tiny bottle (and it is really small) has lasted many months. An added benefit is that it travel-friendly, taking up very little room in the luggage and is small enough to not be an issue at all with TSA.I will definitely be reordering this when I finally use it all up.

I've actually been using this for years. One can shave amazingly close and avoid nicks and cuts. Also, since you only need a few drops (4 or 5) per shave, one bottle last over a year. I have never completely emptied a bottle. I usually lose it in my luggage or at a friends house but that is after years of use. This product is better than any cream or gel I have ever tried.

I will address some of the complaints I have read in other reviews to start.My order arrived within two days.I use a multi-blade shaver which does clog. Gently tap the handle on the edge of the sink; problem solved.3-4 drops is plenty, which really surprised me.I never would have believed it would be this effective, but I get a closer shave as I have had with any other cream or foam.I have not burned or cut myself yet, a fairly common occurrence before.You may have an oily feeling after the shave. A quick wipe with the washcloth takes care of that. Leaves you face refreshed rather than dried out.Lot's of other good tips and practices in some of the other reviews. Try them. This stuff is really good. As to my face, I have a pretty heavy beard. I can't skip a day without looking scruffy at best. I also spent 30 years in the Marines and wish I had this stuff in the field. I know what a dry shave is and this stuff would have helped immensely.

I’ve been using the stuff a few years, with a regular, single-blade safety razor (Above The Tie Kronos Medium, with an Astra blade, for the gear heads), and love using it. Being in my early 60s, starting to develop some throat wattle, this oil really makes life easier between chin and throat. It works fine if you simply follow the instructions. I like the H.I.S. a bit better than Shave Secret, though SS will do in a pinch. The Women Of The House also swear by it, though I keep them stocked with H.E.R.S., to extend my bottle. Unlike the best soaps, gels, foams, and creams, H.I.S. almost never allows nicks to occur, unless I rush, or overuse a blade. It washes off clean, which is a must: it may leaves blemishes in its wake if your skin is prone to empimplation... Great product, buy with confidence.

Fantastic product. I've been using this stuff for probably 15 years. I initially had gotten a sample from StartSampling.com many years ago. I fell in love with TSS immediately and ordered it. Back then the only place I knew to get it was from this one guy (who sent out the samples) and the bottles were $22 plus shipping. He later dropped the business and I was so relieved to be able to get this on Amazon and much cheaper. Not sure if there is still a HER version available. I had gotten my wife to try this after years of telling her how good it was. She also fell in love with it and never used a shaving cream again for her underarms or legs.

This stuff is great. I'm usually skeptical of products like this but it had a good review on another web site and wasn't expensive and I tried it. I used it exactly according to the directions, with three drops on my wet face. Initially, I thought this wasn't going to be enough because I couldn't really feel anything on my face-it wasn't oily at all like baby oil, which I have tried and which also gives a good shave. The shave was great and my face felt normal after rinsing with water-no residue of any kind. The only thing that takes getting used to is the absence of the visual and tactile feedback from regular lather. The bottle is tiny compared to a can of shaving cream and looks like it will last forever and is certainly easier to pack.

The answers to the question I asked before purchasing are wrong (about whether you can smell the oil at all). At least, they are wrong about the smell when you're applying the oil and shaving. It smells very strongly of menthol, which is indeed one of the ingredients (you can even see it in the picture of the back if you zoom in). In fact, it stings my nose.HOWEVER, two things make this worth purchasing nonetheless: First, it doesn't seem to smell later, after washing my face with soap. It helps that my wife doesn't use the same bathroom I do. Second, it does indeed help get a really smooth shave.So if you have a sensitive nose for fumes, steer clear. Otherwise, go for it!

By far the best shave of any product I have ever used! I have tried every natural shave cream on the market over many years (I had a beard for 15 years because I hated to shave). This is the only product that use now, and the shaves are smooth, non-irritating, and quite easy. The additional benefit is that my skin is also in far better shape than with any other cream or shave oil that I ever used. Also, while it may seem a bit expensive at first, since I use 6 - 7 drops at a time, it lasts for a few months, making it very reasonably priced, especially for the exceptional quality. It is rare to find such an outstanding product, and I am thoroughly delighted with it!
