This is not the solution you want
I purchased this for my wife and a friend of mine but to be honest this is not the right solution. When your wife is pregnant you just would like to do everything for her and your baby's safety so I did not want to let her drive without support in seat belt. But when this product arrived and we tried it I knew immediately I would replace it. Obviously it was easy to install but was not comfortable and my wife did not really like to use it. That time I found another product zuwit bump belt which is a "hook" fixed to the surface of the seat and lead the seat belt to the legs and let the tummy free. That made me relaxed and my wife loved that.

potentially dangerous item??????
Belt worked fine for a few weeks before the 'main clip' (the clip which secures the cushion/belt to the car seat) began to simply come apart when we tried to tighten the belt around the seat. This clip in the only connection to the seat and to have start to come away after only moderate use is a shocking and potentially dangerous design flaw. I've ordered a replacement item in the hope that a new one will not have this problem, if it does then I think I'll have to contact the manufacturers direct and maybe trading standards, not usually a douche about these things but this is potentially dangerous and we're talking about people's partners and their unborn children...not cool at all, so if I have to be the guy to highlight it so be it - my partner says its a comfortable solution but make sure you check that clip every time...Clippasafe shouldn't mean Clippacrap - sort it - god forbid anything bad happens as a result of this...

Not sure it would hold up in a crash
The Bump Belt is basically a thin cushion that you sit on, with two loops attached to the front edges. These loops can be clicked on to the safety belt, keeping it - somewhat - below your bump.I've worn it for around 4 months now, with a growing bump, and I am really not sure it would hold the seatbelt down in case of a crash. Even just ordinary driving with some wriggling on the seat (shifting gear, pushing pedals) gives the seatbelt enough room to creep up on the bump, so if you'd really be hit by another car, where you are very much being tossed around involuntarily, I have my doubts that it would stay in place. This might not be as much of a problem with a frontal crash, but a side crash or a back crash may show very different results.

Bump comfort
I've been using the belt for a week now after getting increasingly uncomfotable with the normal seatbelt, and I'm impressed. Wasn't sure exactly what was involved but actually it's a simple device - a flat lightly padded square of material you sit on, fixed to the chair with a belt around the back to stop it moving when you get in. There are 2 velcro attachments at the front which you use to clip over the normal seatbelt at your thigh level which hold it lower than usual. In the ice/snow recently it's felt much safer to be held in by a belt that wouldn't put tight across my bump in case of an accident, also doesn't press on the bladder which is marvellous! Takes about an extra 10 seconds to fit over the normal belt each time you get in but well worth it. A good buy.EDIT: I bought a new one of these for my second pregnancy after giving away the first. The design has changed a little in that it uses poppers instead of Velcro, which is a great bonus. Less chance of snagging on clothes or car seats. Worked well all the way through again and has been through the washing machine successfully to be passed on to a friend.

Great!
I didn't know such product existed before I accidently found it on amazon and I'm glad I found it, it makes great difference, it makes you feel comfortable and safe while you are driving.I've been using it for more than a week and it's really comfortable. I was concerned whether I'd be able to use it now because it's winter and I'm wearing thick clothes and a coat. It works even with all the winter clothes. I'm quite thin and I'm 23rd week so it doesn't really hold the belt under my belly but more like on my hips. It's still away from my belly and feels quite good to not worry about your belt all the time. The part you sit on is soft and comfortable too. I'm not sure whether the clips will be able to sustain being opened and closed few times a day but let's hope they are durable. I'll post an update in case they break or tear apart.
