Product description Our Dang Story Dang was started in 2011 by Vincent Kitirattragarn. While a New York City native, he grew up visiting his family in Thailand every summer where he was immersed in the diverse array of different foods available there. As he entered adulthood, he realized the only Thai dishes readily found in the US were basics like Pad Thai, mango sticky rice, and Thai iced tea. Mama Dang's Coconut Chip Recipe In an effort to bring more authentic Thai food to the US, Vincent decided to start a pop-up restaurant in NYC. His mom (aka “Mama Dang”) gave him her recipe for Thai lettuce wraps that called for toasted coconut. He couldn’t find any at the store that truly replicated the toasted coconut he needed for the recipe so had to make his own. Starting from scratch, he shaved thick strips of fresh coconut meat and lightly toasted them. The naturally sweet aroma coming from the kitchen caught his roommates' attention. They came in for a sample and couldn’t keep their hands off them. The satisfying flavor and crunch kept them coming back. He knew at that moment he was onto something and had to start a snack food company. He launched Dang, naming it after his Mom. Two Brothers Vincent’s brother, Andrew, joined in and since then they’ve used inspiration from their Thai-American heritage to create Asian-American snacks with a focus on better-for-you snacks with plant based, all natural ingredients. Better For You - Plant Based - Non GMO - B Corp Our coconuts are sourced from family farms in Thailand. As a Certified B Corp, Dang meets rigorous standards of environmental performance and public transparency, and all of our farms follow ethical business practices. Review: Delicious snack - I got a bag of these at Whole Foods, and they were so delicious, I decided to buy some from desertcart. I love this flavor. They are soooo addictive! They are the perfect balance of sweet and mildly spicy. I was going to order more, and was disheartened to see they are unavailable. I'm hoping these come back. Review: Yummy Snack - These are a nice, light snack. The flavor is strong enough to help satisfy any spicy need your taste buds may be craving, and the caloric intake isn't going to leave you feeling guilty afterwards.

Delicious
I had to get these on Amazon because NO ONE SELLS THEM! found them going cross country randomly along the interstate and they're my favorite chip/snack now but can't find them anywhere! Only complaint is price, very expensive. But dang they're the best chip. EVER.

Delicious and crisp
They are always fresh and delicious. Not too spicy for sure. They are a little pricey, so I don’t buy them often.

Delicious? Yes but beware these are not baked, they are flash fried, per Dang customer support
These can be found at the grocery store for $2.50-$3.00 on sale but are much more expensive here or when not discounted. They are really quite delicious with good flavor and a hint of sugar but not overwhelming. The sriracha flavor is the best tasting and has just the right amount of kick. If you are still reading, continue on as that may be where the "pros" stop and the "cons" start. For one, the packaging, look and feel of the crisps leads one to believe that they are healthier for you than your average chip. The packaging is sturdy and has a very good zip seal but it is also smartly designed with words like "crisps" and "toasted rice" and no reference whatsoever to the fact that they are fried and not "baked" or "toasted." The back of the package further states: "Nothing but the good stuff, Non-Gmo, dairy free, vegan, gluten free, soy free, no preservatives" but again conveniently fails to state that they are fried. In summary, if you are looking for a tasty snack with good flavor and crisp, these fit the bill, but look elsewhere if you are after the "perfect snack" as these are fried and nowhere as good for you as the traditional rice cracker or rice cake that is baked and not fried.
