Need a 74inch high pet insert for sliding patio door, which one will adjust down to that size

Hi Darlene,The doors we have can fit from 77 5/8" to 80 3/8", or 93 3/4" to 96 1/2". We do not have a door that fits that size you need. I am very sorry for the inconvenience.Sandra

How does this door hold up in the winter? Does it keep the cold breeze out?

I bought heavier weather stripping and place it in the door jam and on edge. I cut an old piece of pvc pipe to fit behind slider door to hold it tight against the doggie door edge. No cold air came in. I made sure to put the doggie door solid door block to make sure neighborhood cats did not come in the house at night.

How thick are the sides of the small? I don't want to have to remove the latch that allows the sliding glass door to lock when the pet door is not in

The Ideal Fast Fit is roughly 7/8" thick, generally you have to remove the locking mechanism to achieve a proper fit
