My dad lives in assisted living and the facility doesn't offer a vast array of condiments. I can understand them not necessarily offering "hot sauce" type condiments because some of the residents don't always realize what they are getting into. Dad has always loved Cholula, it's his favorite and he really missed having this. He wanted me to get him a bottle of Cholula but I wasn't sure it was such a great idea since he's practically blind. I know he would keep the bottle in his walker basket and likely would not get the lid on correctly and it would leak out and make a huge mess. Also, a glass container provides yet another opportunity for disaster as well as safety concern as he can barely see he often dropping items.I came to Amazon to see what options there might be and was delighted to find Cholula readily available in these packets. I placed an order and my dad was really surprised and happy when he opened the box.Yes, 200 packets seems like a lot BUT the shelf life is good and my dad loves to share with the other residents! We had this same scenario with ketchup. The facility offers it but often seemed to be "out" on hamburger day (REALLY)! That problem was easily solved thanks to Amazon; I was able to purchase a box of 250 ketchup packets. The ketchup was quite popular and within 6 months they were gone. I anticipate the Cholula might not be quite as popular so it may last longer. Regardless, I love that something so simple can bring so much joy into the lives of others.I want to note that delivery was prompt and I was especially impressed that not a single one of the 200 packets had leaked inside the box!

Exactly how I expected it. Packaged well and its the real thing. I love that I can carry a few packets in my purse and don't have to worry about my food not being flavorful when I eat out. It makes everything tastes delicious. I love it.

Bought this as a sort of gag gift for a white elephant a while back. My best friend ended up getting it and every time I’ve been over to her place for a meal since I’ve been forced to help consume it. It has been almost two years now and it still hasn’t expired. We still have about half a gallon to go. I love cholula, but giving me the ability to buy a gallon of it was a bad idea. I feel like I should’ve had to prove that I was part of a restaurant or something first. No one can consume that much cholula on their own and have their GI tract still be intact. Overall excellent quality hot sauce , perfect for adding a little kick without making all your friends from the Midwest who think ketchup is spicy breathe fire.

Hate going out to eat and no hot sauce, - or you wait to eat 20 min for waitstaff to bring some, so decided I should carry my own! did not want a full size bottle so came to amazon and found these. They fit in purse perfectly. Have to admit have given a lot away as friends want one!Thought they would be a little smaller (my fault just guessed) but really a good size. Now if only they came in the green!

As I type this, a 12oz bottle on the aisle of my local (enter $500B+, Fortune 1 company here) is $5.34 (44.5 cents per ounce).Picked this up on Amazon for $15.49 (<25 cents per once).I really enjoy Cholula with just about any meal. When I do use it, I. USE. IT. The premium price per once of the pretty glass bottle with the wooden top got a little steep for me to justify using per my preference. Now, it was nice to use as a "special occasion" hot sauce (a few times per week) and use Tabasco, El Yucateca, Olanchano, Valentina, Texas Pete, Secret Aardvark, Sriracha or one of the others I keep around, but every sauce has its place, and sometimes a little goes a long way. In the case of Cholula and my taste, a little leaves me wanting a little more than a little more, so I went this route.I saw others mentioning dates being expired or in the near future. I did not experience this issue. Received mine this afternoon (7/18/2022) and the expiration is for 7/06/2023.Quality of product is as Cholula should be. It might be slightly thinner? Then again, I am not used to pouring it out of 1/2 gallon container. Taste and smell is there. I'll know more when I get a chance to really use it, since one of the things I enjoy about this hot sauce is the fact it isn't super duper runny. It's no Huy Fong Sriracha when it sticks to something, but I like the way it doesn't run directly off a chip or a bite of quiche or something.I will say when I initially untwisted the lid, I felt the bottle expand. The seal had slightly pulled up without my purposefully wanting that to happen. However, there is no evidence the seal was otherwise not intact prior to my twisting the lid. I am the bottle's final destination, so I will not deduct for that. There is no telling what elements the container survived in the box to make it to my door in Alabama in mid-July.Hope this is somewhat helpful. Cheers!

These are great for lunches and traveling—sometimes you need a bit of spice or flavor to rescue bland food! Arrived on time and all intact.
