Sena SMH10R Low Profile Motorcycle Bluetooth Headset and Intercom Dual Pack - SMH10RD-01,Black,Medium

Very nice headset by SENA. This dual package is just what you need if you're looking for rider-to-passenger or bike-to-bike communication. Comes nicely boxed with everything you need to install. I installed our set in two 3/4 helmets with face shield. With the mic behind the face shield there is little to no wind noise. We are pleasantly surprised at the sound quality. Installation manual is online (quick setup guide included in package). I found it simpler to watch a youtube video of someone else installing. I recommend you follow the instructions as far as order of how to install (i.e., place control module on side of helmet first). When initially reading, the controls may seem a bit intimidating...but once on the bike, we found them very functional and easy to use. Very simple to sync with each other and also with the iPhone. We've only had them a short time but we can't imagine going on a ride without them. Our a-ha moment...I wanted charge the controller before installing. I hooked it up and let it charge but it never showed a charge. I learned, you must have the battery attached to it during the charge (duh). Good luck, happy and safe riding.

Buying this set was one of the best decisions I made. It makes communicating with others on a motorcycle a joy. The speakers that come with it look like they'd not produce the greatest sound, but that is definitely not the case. They are loud and clear. I had to purchase a pair of the smaller speakers for my Scorpion R2000 helmet since it's a tighter fitting helmet (the speakers that came in this set were a little too big and smashed against my ears) but even those speakers work great. I use my Sena every time I ride my motorcycle, and have used it to listen to music, make phone calls, and communicate with others. Even at highway speeds you can hear people easily and the noise cancellation of the microphone allows others to hear you well as well. I also really like the low profile of the controller. It's not super bulky like a lot of other bluetooth helmet devices. The only qualm I have, is that there doesn't seem to be both sides of the velcro for the battery pack but I just used the extra microphone velcro to attach mine to the back of my helmets and that seems to work just fine. (It does however include a double stick pad for it)

These are GREAT devices. I bought the set for my wifes and my helmets before a trip to Rockhouse Trail system (ATV Trails). We rode for 3 days and over 200 miles. We rode though rain, dust, mud and these headsets worked flawlessly. these are now the best accessories we have ever bought for our razer. I was concerned that since these were seemingly designed for road bikes, that they wouldn't be able to "hold up" to the extra demands of off road ATV riding. I was SOOO wrong, I made sure each day to have the cover over the usb port completely closed (have to work at it, it doesn't like to close all the way, but a little attention and it's perfect). Being able to hold a conversation while riding without having to yell and constantly saying "WHAT?" was worth more than these cost. We used the wired mics in full face helmets and never had any issues. I updated the firmware as recommended as soon as I got them, installation was easy and fast. Both units linked via bluetooth to our phones (both iPhones) and reconnected perfectly every time we powered them on. There isn't a lot of bass, but that's ok with me, more treble = more vocal (these are intercoms for us first and foremost) And finally, I can't comment on the phone voice call aspect of these, since where we were riding there is no cell service (that's 80% of the point), but if it sounds half as good as the helmet to helmet does then it should be acceptable.

These are the third BT helmet intercoms I have bought. The first was a Beetee (?spelling?) model I got 3 years ago and would still be using except both units broke internally after being dropped (like.. dropped ONCE). Next, I bought a set of mid-priced, seemingly good units. But once we received those, they had a range of mayb 200 ft. No dice. So we opted for Sena. No more f--in around. I'll say that they Sena has better sound quality than the others, but not a ton better than the first. Honestly, when riding a motorcycle, you're not looking for hi fidelity. I will also say the Senas break up a bit at a shorter distance than the first. So... knowing what I know now, I MIGHT buy those original Chinese ones again. The Senas are NOT a world better... or at least not at first glance. But you DO get advanced features like simple phone pairing and some audible prompts (such as "good bye" when turning off, instead of listening to some friggin Morse code wanna be and trying to decide when the units are really off). So... OK... glad I got Sene. Here are a few thoughts so far: Love: -Sound quality -Ease of buttons -Small size -separate battery -- to add an extra battery or to replace if it goes bad -charge while riding -simple to pair with phone. I mean SIMPLE! Don't Love: -counting blinks to know battery charge: Even some cheapo models have audio read-outs. How is one supposed to see the side of their helmets when turning on? (OK, I know, but still...) -have to download manual. OK... not the worst thing and saves the trees... -does not seem to remember settings (volume level resets every time I use) -if using boom mic, you get plenty of foam there to block wind noise, etc., BUT the "wired" mic has very little foam. Wind noise carries through vents on partner's helmet constantly. Needs improvement: -range is NOT spectacular: may start breaking up even at a few hundred feet (esp. with wind... high traffic...). However, overall range is good, just surprising that it may have static at such small distances

I bought the two pack and gave the second headset to my riding buddy. They are awesome. They are easy to set up. All we had to do for intercom was tap the center button and our headsets synced up. For the phone I had to hold down the center button for about 10 seconds to go into the menu options and then select the option to sync to phone. Once synced to my phone I didn't have to do any additional setup to make it play MP3s, answer calls, or any other functions. It just worked. I was concerned that the speakers would be inadequate. I like really loud music. These speakers are really loud. They are so loud that if you max out the volume when listening to music your ears will be ringing for about 30 minutes afterward. They are loud enough to cause hearing loss. The latest 5.0 update seems to have lowered the sound output by a decent amount. I'm a little ticked off about this and may try to find a way to go back to the previous firmware. I have this installed in a Shoe X-12 helmet with a Samsung Galaxy S2 phone. Works great with no special setup required. Helmet installation took me a couple of hours. I was a little meticulous because I didn't want to be able to feel the wires in the helmet, and I didn't want them hanging anywhere. I was able to cram most of the wires in between the inner and outer shell of the helmet. I really like this headset and so does my riding buddy. Several coworkers that ride are looking at getting the headset as well after hearing about it. Price is the biggest reason everyone doesn't have this headset. $150 is a lot of money to drop on an item.

These work perfect! Super easy to setup. They come with all the accessories to connect two helmets. One thing to note, they are very small and compact but there is also a small battery pack which needs to be installed on the helmet as well (which is included). The ear speakers work well but they are lacking in good bass sound. While listening to music ( from my cell phone) it informs you if you have a call or intercom request, as well as, emails and messages on your cell phone. Volume controls can be set separately from music, phone etc. The mics for intercom and phone use works great. Callers can hear me clearly when I speak as well as I can hear them clearly. I use these with a half helmet and a full face helmet, although the full face helmet has better sound which is expected.. I found the half helmet I use on short rides works really good too. The wiring is very thin which makes routing them easy but use care when installing them. Connections are small and easily can be tucked away in and around the helmet. I did order the Sena supplies kit which allows me to move the equipment to several helmets with ease. I also ordered the Sena Earbud Adapter Cable which allows me to use earbuds instead of the speakers. With the earbuds music sounds awesome!

Purchased this and went through set up instructions. First, I must say, they only provide a quick start guide, that is not at all helpful in actually setting up the headset to your helmet, nor is it very informative on how to download the desktop app and update firmware. I ended up finding a youtube video for how to install on helmet, as well as update firmware. There is also the full manual on Sena's website. Now, about the firmware. I went to set up my first headset, and followed the instructions in order to update the firmware to the latest version. Left it updating, and went off to work. When I came home, I found the update stalled at 90%, completely frozen. I had to force the app closed with task manager, and tried again. Several attempts, all keep freezing at 90%. Now I was unable to even turn the unit on (which is a problem, since that is how you do a factory reset, through the menu when the unit is on. The reset button on the device itself did nothing. Upon a quick Google search, this seems to be a common problem, that has been known about for 6+ months, and no workaround by Sena. If you get this device, DO NOT UPDATE FIRMWARE! It will render your device useless. I am now in the process of replacing the one device under warranty through Sena (a process that will take up to a month to resolve). Buyer beware. This product, while very high quality when it works, has major set up issues and service issues through Sena. As for how the unit works, the one that I did not update the firmware on, works great. Incredibly clear sound quality. Fairly simple controls (though I will say it can be hard to differentiate the buttons when you have gloves on). Crystal clear voice input from the microphone. If it wasn't for the damn firmware bug, this would be an incredible product.

This product is Incredible. i split this 2 pack with a buddy and he loves his too. I use it with ease every time i get on the bike. It hooks up to both my iPod touch and my cell phone. I easily switch back and forth between both of them with one button. It is easy to navigate playlists if I do not care for the current track. I was really skeptical and I did not want to spend $150 on a bluetooth headset but I would buy it again right now if someone stole it. allow me to make clear some of the capabilities of this Item: -It is water resistant. -The battery lasts circa 20 hours of constant music and phone calls. -The range doesn't seem to be quite as far as they claim. Maybe at 150-300 yards you can communicate clearly, but the only time this even came into play during riding with a buddy was when I missed a red light that he made. -It is extremely convenient to share GPS voice directions. Also you don't have to worry about who is leading because you can communicate when a turn is coming up. -The microphone is clear and rejects the sound of my bike until about 8000 rpms. Even then; I can communicate clearly enough to have a conversation unless i am speeding considerably. At a pace I probably shouldn't be communicating at anyway. The only time I need a pace that grueling is on the Oregon Trail… Before winter hits, and your ox dies.

Updated ;2.12.22 I tried to followup with Sena for further support but no reply other than robot cut and paste. Really disappointing service for a product that is clearly not heading in the right direction for quality and functionality! I’ve used the Sena slim for almost ten years and only bought this years model because my old ones buttons cracked finally… that’s nearly ten years of weather and riding!!! This years model is rubbish. Connection distance maybe 200m line of sight. Crackling comms, speakers are not as good as the old ones .. everything about the new model is worse than the same older model?? Wtf Sena! Be especially aware of international returns with Amazon! Also an annoying process … but local and make sure you have warranty you’ll be returning these ones for sure.

Intercom géniel en mode solo, comme en duo. Faciles à utiliser et confgurer. Discrets et bonne durabilité d'utilisation. Les communications téléphoniques (à 90km/h) sont de bonne qualité (les interlocuteurs ne se rendent pas compte qu'on est à moto) au dessus il y a du bruit. Attention de bien regler les paramètre de prise de son. Seule bémol: pour l'écoute de la musique il manque un de basses Je recommande.

Collegati al PC, ho aggiornato il firmware alla versione 5.1 in italiano (dalla 5.0 in inglese). Sono perfetti e li ho già provati con chiamata in ingresso ed audio conferenza simultanea con entrambi i dispositivi (li ho presi per questo... se ricevo una chiamata voglio poter rispondere ma allo stesso tempo poter parlare con la mia zavorrina). Adesso aspetto solo che mi arrivino i caschi. So già che li adorerò e spero solo di non sollecitare troppo i fili durante l'installazione... quello della batteria ad esempio è veramente sottile!!! Aggiornamento dopo la prima prova 23 giugno: confermo il fatto che il filo della batteria è veramente troppo debole al punto da spingermi ad installarla all'interno dei caschi. C'è un altro aspetto che mi lascia dubbioso, gli altoparlanti vanno facilmente in distorsione ascoltando musica o parlando al cellulare (ed il volume non è nemmeno troppo forte). Verificherò meglio tutto con calma, soprattutto, se il problema è presente anche nell'altra coppia. Per il momento mi tocca dare da 5 a 2 stelle anche perché, in rapporto al costo, mi aspettavo prestazioni decisamente migliori. Aggiornamento del 26 giugno: Ho scritto al supporto Sena: mi hanno consigliato un reset di fabbrica dopo avere aggiornato il firmware. Oltretutto ho migliorato il posizionamento nei caschi e la resa audio adesso è ottima. 5 stelle meritate. :-)
