Mishimoto MMODP-1415B Magnetic Oil Drain Plug M14 x 1.5, Black

Ok so ive bought this as an upgrade for my car's oil system and I bought this one as its a branded part from a reputable company, now the only downside here is that they made the head too big (24mm) opposed to my OEM (19mm) and this is where the minor issue happened my turbo return line was just beside my oil drain plug with the OEM one it was no problem using a socket to get it in out/in but with the Mishimoto one I had to hand tighten the plug as I can feel it brushing against the line and since I cant use my 19mm socket anymore I had to buy a 24mm spanner to tighten the Mishimoto plug but otherwise a good product given you have the clearance to fit it

I service my own car - I own a Toyota Corolla 1.6 2001 reg (hatchback petrol). This fits perfectly and I really like that the tip is magnetic - you get metal waste stuck to it from the engine oil that passes it so it is nice to see that come out as part of my service. It is a strong little thing and the head is quite large which makes it easy to put a spanner to and turn with leverage! Recommend it. Delivery/packaging - all was very nice.

Fits my 3SGE 1994 MR2 no worries at all. Doesn’t leak and works as intended, would recommend.

Magnetic drain plug - very well made, strong magnet. Good value.

Disappointing the head is 22mm. Used to Subaru’s using a 17mm head. But sealed well and comforted to know the magnet is trapping particles from circulating in the engine. Glad to know after 6000kms there is very little stuck to magnet. Will be helpful to monitor wear in the future.
