I’ve been using the 70mai dashcam for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed with the performance and quality. Setup was quick and easy, and the companion app makes it super convenient to view footage directly from my phone.The video quality is sharp—both during the day and at night—thanks to its wide-angle lens and solid night vision. I bought this and installed it myself in my car. Very easy to install, instructions are quite clear. There are YouTube videos also showing the installation. I didn't conceal the wire coz it seemed to cumbersome to remove the rubber beading of the door, etc. I just left it hanging from the dashcam to the car's USB port.Pros: 1) easy to install and use 2) intuitive menu system 3) can configure the dashcam via the app once connected 4) great picture quality even in bad light conditions 5) speaker volume is really good 6) buttons feel sturdy and reliableCons:1) I had to set the event sensitivity to "low" but even then if the car goes through potholes, it starts recording an "emergency event" which is quite irritating2) Dashcam has a Wi-fi hotspot and you can only connect the app via this wi-fi hotspot. I have a wireless Android auto device which uses wifi and interferes with the dashcam's wi-fi hotspot so my phone connects to the Android Auto wifi instead of the dashcam. So, I have to unplug the Android auto dongle if I want to connect to my dashcam. Very annoying, they should have just given bluetooth connectivity at this point3) at highest resolution, each 3 minute file is about 622MB! Takes really long to transfer 30 minutes of video to the phone. I will reduce the resolution and experiment the sweet spot between storage space and video clarity.

Great Live view 1.5 second delayed. No Rear Cam Live view. No PIP view of Rear Video at the same time.Poor software. Very Very less customisations options. GPS data format in decimals only, should have been degree minute second format. ADAS fails 99% times. No 16:9 Videos format which is easily possible by firmware update. 16:9 2592x1458 resolution should be immediately included in the 70mai A500S front camera firmware . Audio notifications are directly recorded in clips due to poor software quality. LCD quality should have been more bright , LCD has the poorest viewing angles, not expected from the Manufacturer. Very hard to see screen in bright sunny day , even sitting inside car. Also video footage has a lot of stuttering and frame skips ! A good quality firmware update is what is required for this costly dashcam whose current firmware seems to very very backdated functions.

The quality of camera is very good. Night visibility and the wide angle recording is also super. The app support is also good but there are some cons too. The sensitivity for the emergency video recording is too high even on the low setting mode as the indian roads are not that good. If we goes on high speed over the highway bridges bumps it saves the part as an emergency video which is little annoying but overall it's good value for money and do the job. It also has ADAS but never used it so cannot say anything about that.
