I was fed up with my 10 year old samsung refrigerator which was over cooling and farming ice or near ice formation on veggies and leading them to rot. Two visits were made by Samsung technicians and replaced thermo sensor unit and main controller board but the issue was same and not resolved. After spending good amount to pay Samsung i decided to try this little unit to control the refrigerator compressor. I have set the temperature at 15 deg and now I don't have issues with refrigerator. Although this is not a perfect way to fix the refrigeratory problem of ice formation is resolved. Since the compressor voltage was been controlled by board and not direct 220v I removed the compressor heat sensor cables jand connected to this temperature controller unit. The unit disconnects the compressor if the temperature in refrigerator reaches 15 degree and connect it when temperature goes beyond 15. Earlier i used to switch off the refrigerator during night and switch on during day as a temporary fix. Now I am relieved. One challenge i am facing using this method is that the compressor takes additional 30mins to switch on...i am not sure why it goes to sleep mode everytime it is turned off and on... Any expert please comment on solution to disable compressor going to sleep mode
