AQUA CREST Water Filter Replacement for Pur® Plus Filter PPF951K, 4 Pack

I highly recommend purchasing these over the brand name. I purchased this package of four back on November 25th 2025, and I just popped in the third one! There are a couple of tricks to making any of these filters last. First, they need to be rinsed in a pitcher of water for a few minutes before being installed. But, the biggest key to making any water filter last is to run your cold water first. Run your cold water for three to five minutes before filling the water. This flushes out a majority of the chemicals and stuff before hitting the filter. Because there’s less filtering of chemicals, the water filters faster and the filters last longer! I found that the brand name didn’t last as long even when I used these tricks. I promise you won’t regret this purchase if you follow these steps!

I have been using this product as a replacement for my PUR water filtration system and am very pleased. It is quick and easy to change out the filters. I highly recommend this brand.

These are perfect replacement for my pitcher water filter. They don't seem to provide the good tasting water for as long as the pur filters do.

Three things are good about these "Aqua Crest" filters. First, they are cheap. Costs almost 40% less than the price of the same type of filters we would pay with the original Pur filters of this type (AQK-CF10A), and we get 4 cartridges instead of the usual three from Pur. Secondly, the water flows through the filtraton faster than Pur filter (which usually takes much longer), the cartridge is a tad longer than Pur filter, but fits the Pur (30 cup) dispenser perfectly. Thirdly, we like that the filters are NSF certified. It uses (coconut shell) activated carbon and high-quality ion-exchange resin, etc., the filtered water has no chlorine smell, no plastic smell, or any other smells for that matter, gives cean and flesh taste. What we'd like to see included in the Aqua Crest filters as well: that it filters out "nanoplastic" which seems to be everywhere in our life these days. And that it also filters out Clostridium. Maybe these are included in the fact sheet of those 100+ it advertised, but we don't have that info (not included in the package). ** [Note] ** The black stain in the water or the black specks in the water that we see when first install/replace the filter is common, that is because of the activated carbon inside the cartridges. It will disappear after a couple of filtration, or you can rinse the filter out for a few times before install it in the pitcher/dispenser. Pur filters do/have the same thing (of which we've been using for 2 decades now), there is nothing wrong with the filters, nor does it mean the filters are bad or defective.

Very good filters that are working well, though water is not filtered as quickly as with OEM filters. Filters seal very well without any leakage, sealing much better than OEM filters. When considering the cost benefit ratio of the Aqua Crest CF10A filters to OEM filters, Aqua Crest are definitely the best bargain. Would recommend these filters and buy again.

This is a good alternative to the Pur brand filters. It does fit and I can’t taste a difference.

Great product. Water really tastes fresh and clean

These filters fit my Pur water jug fine . The only thing is that usually, when you use a genuine Pur filter , the water tastes almost sweet when first installed . These ones not so much . But, on the up and up, they work fine .

Fits my Pur pitcher perfectly. Hope it filters effectively. So far so good
