I am very happy with this controller. I feel like it's gotten harder and harder to find good third party accessories for game consoles these days compared to the PS2/Gamecube/Xbox generation. Snakebyte are not as well known as Hori or the link but they make good stuff. I own one of their PS3 controllers and genuinely preferred it to the Dual Shock 3, it had better triggers and longer handles for my larger hands. The Gamepad S isn't quite as good as that controller but it's definitely a great choice for a pad that isn't going to break the bank but still delivers most of what an actual Dual Shock 4 can do. The feature set for this pad is very strong, it has responsive buttons and analogs, a precise if a little stiff d-pad and a pretty good touchpad. The unit itself is about a quarter inch less wide than an official DS4 and lends itself well to people with smaller hands but I still found it very comfortable to use. This also means however that the touchpad is a little bit smaller than on a DS4 and it isn't quite as smooth and accurate. The triggers are also a little more shallow but have a similar shape to the DS4. The pad is made of textured plastic, no rubberized texture or anything like that but the plastic is of a good enough quality that it doesn't feel cheap. I also like the placement of the Option and Share buttons, they're not flush with the surface of the pad like the DS4 and are placed below the touchpad. I don't know if it's just me but with the Dual Shock 4 I always end up clicking the touchpad when I'm trying to hit the Options button. The only major features it's missing are obviously it is wired, but the cord is almost ten feet so you won't be sitting a foot from your screen like I did back in the 90's. It also does not have a speaker nor does it have motion sensors. This will affect the playability of certain games, I had been playing Until Dawn with this controller which uses the motion sensing quite a lot so I was missing out on something there. However at this price point I doubt it could be considered a deal breaker. You also can't turn on the controller with this pad, you have to turn the PS4 on and then hit the Home button for the console to recognize it. Not an issue with a pad of this price. So after a few months of use the pad unfortunately developed a fault. The left analog stick started registering a down input no matter what I did. I was disappointed but figured I would reach out to Snakebyte about whether they would repair the pad or send me a replacement. Within a week I had a new controller arrive from across the country via FedEx. They didn't ask me to send the other controller back, they just sent me a brand new replacement. I was very impressed with how quickly they reacted to my issue and that they were so generous is sending out a replacement with such speed. Their warranty is also for FIVE YEARS which definitely puts them way ahead of the game compared to a lot of third party manufacturers. Also the pink camo looks awesome, best color for a controller ever. Get one of these!

I originally gave this controller high marks but it's been one month of very light use and it's not working anymore. The left joystick is constantly drifting downward whenever I remove my thumb from it. I am constantly having to push up on the joystick just to get it to remain level. It is very frustrating and makes game-play almost impossible. I'm glad I can return it.

D-pad and buttons feel precise. Shallow but clicky bumpers. The triggers also feel great as well. The Bubblegum Pink colorway looks even better in person. All in All Superb wired PlayStation 4 controller.
