I have never used a grow light before so I don't know how effective it may be. What I can say, however, is that it is very easy to set up and use. I like the fact that you can bend each of the 4 individual lamp poles to where you need as well as having 1, 2, 3, or all 4 lamps on. You can adjust their brightness and the spectrum with which you need. There is also a timer setting for how long you want them to be on for. It also turns on at the time you set it everyday, for example 4pm. The telescoping pole allows for more height, each section with it's own lock for more precision. The tripod has a little give to it, but once lock in place is sturdy enough. My only grip is with the power cable. It can be longer and the box shows a usb supplied power brick and cable. What I received is not that.

Living in Minnesota, it's challenging to keep plants happy in the winter. But, I've noticed more and more pink and blue glowing lights in the windows in my neighborhood and thought there must be something to it.This light was on sale during the holidays, so I took a chance and am glad I did! Within just a few days, my peace lily had three blooms, and a couple of outdoor plants I was trying (and failing) to overwinter have revived! Those are the most remarkable outcomes, but all the plants love this light.The adjustable height tripod + adjustable arms work perfectly for both tall (4') and small (12") plants.The only downside is that I wanted to use a smart plug to have it automatically turn on at sunrise, but the light needs to be turned on via the power button or remote, so I can only turn it off with the smart plug. There is a timer with 4, 8 and 12 hr increments, but I would prefer to have it turn on before I wake up. That said, it's still working wonders!

Living in Ohio we don’t get a lot of sun in winter and I noticed my plants were struggling. I ordered 2 of these and am so excited to see my plants thrive.It was very easy to assemble. I love having a remote with it and the timer feature is great.I like having the 4 arms that are bendable to give light to different plants or different angles of one plant. I also like the adjustable stand.I am very pleased with this product and highly recommend.

For fifty-plus years, my wife and I raised house plants using just natural sunlight.This fall, I repurposed a spare room upstairs to include a fly-tying center bench & storage area. It looked a bit barren so I decided to add some plants.Took some cuttings from the wife's 'Wandering Jew' downstairs and started a pot of my own. It seemed to start growing almost immediately, but very slow. Finally I decided to try a grow lamp. We've only had this one less than a month set up along a side wall in our dining room. Not quite content with just the two 'Jews', I bought more houseplants. The wife has started calling me "George (of the Jungle"). Sounds hard to believe, but I can see the plants' growth difference almost on a daily basis!It won't be long and I can transfer them all upstairs into their new home. I'll even have enough room on the new plant stand to start some from seeds/seedlings AND some for pre-planting in our container garden. Get a jump start on the spring growing season - looking forward to it. BTW: My name is not George.

The lights are very adjustable, you can change color of the lights, change the the number of lights on at a time, change the direction the lights point, it has a timer to adjust the length time lights are on. I contacted customer service to help me with a challenge I had with the light. Customer service was very easy to deal with and responsive to my questions. The company backs their product and is always there to assist you. I highly recommend this light and the company selling this product.

I wasn't sure about trying this out, but since it's one of the top rated plant lights on here I figured why not. So far it's great and blows the standard home improvement grow bulbs out of the water. I thought it would have an option for just red or just blue instead of red and blue, or full spectrum, but it still does the job. I will be needing more since one only works for so many plants per sq ft.

This light is very convenient for the multitude of plants I have. The plants are on different levels and opposite directions so the flexibility offered is wonderful. It’s a bit too soon to say how much they are helping my plants, but they all look healthy so we’ll see if blooms increase.

My plants perked right up after placing this on them. Every morning before work I set it for 8 hours and when I got home the lights were turned off so timer seems to work beautifully! Really happy with the adjustment settings and was simple as can be to set up with minimal trash (lucky all recyclable as well)
