His & Hers: A Novel

This was the first Alice Feeney book for me and it did not disappoint. I finished it in 2 days. Aside from some obvious questions that I had in the beginning, the suspenseful and thrilling storyline plus the shocking and surprising twists made me give it a total thumbs up 👍 Complex Characters: Everyone has secrets that readers can relate to in their own personal lives, making each character relatable and engaging. Each character is multi-dimensional, and they evoked a strong emotional response which helped in creating a deeper bond to the story. Perception of the Murderer: One of the key elements of the book is the reader's perception of the murderer. As the characters are developed, and their motivations and secrets are revealed, the reader's perception of who the murderer is, changes and evolves, adding to the suspense and thrill of the story. Surprise twists: The book is full of surprising twists and turns that keep the reader guessing and engaged, helping to create a connection between the reader and the story. I was left stunned and shocked with the ending. The conclusion was totally unexpected, turning around all the assumptions and doubts I had at the start. Themes of human nature depicted in the book: ( I can go on and on and give more details on these about all the books I review, but on another platform in the future)😊 - motivations behind people's actions - importance of honesty and trust - impact of past experience/trauma - the danger of abuse - the power of forgiveness - the complexity of human nature and how it affects our personalities and relationships This book sets itself apart from the others I read so far because it just showed me an important thing in life: THAT NOT ALL THAT APPEARS TO BE IS TRULY AS IT SEEMS.

When a woman is murdered in Blackdown, newsreader Anna Andrews is reluctant to cover the case in order to save her career, despite knowing the consequences of going back to her hometown. Jack Harper is assigned to investigate the murder at Blackdown. Soon he realizes he's a suspect in his own case. However, someone is holding up secrets and plotting behind the murders. Are some secrets worth killing? This book is a psychological thriller. The plot was filled with mystery, suspense, and dark past trauma. It has multiple POV with back and forth dual timeline. The character development was good, and the plot was enthralling until the end with jaw dropping twists and turns. However, there were several trigger warnings which were unexpected and quite disturbing. This is the second book by this author; the writing was incredible, and this author has never failed to amuse her readers. Overall, I enjoyed the read, and it's hard to review without any spoilers.

Everything u could ask for is in this book suspense. Mystery. All of it. I was scared that the packaging would ruin the book but it wasn’t. 10/10 highly recommended

Excellent Read

A murder thriller with lots of twists and turns. My first time reading Alice Feeney, but looks like I will become a fan.

Best book of this year

10/10 recommend this to give it a read. I love every bit of this story. The plot twist is damn amazing.
