Many years ago as a teenager I worked for a large, famous restaurant. We had stainless steel bowls such as these. They worked well but they were heavy. They had no silicone on their bottoms so we would put down a wet hand towel to sit them on so they wouldn't slide around. Now with these excellent bowls with bottoms covered in silicone.. they are a joy to work with. Furthermore, they are lighter than the old traditional steel bowls I use to work with.Bottom line: The wife and I are very happy with these nesting bowls. We've had them and used them for many weeks almost daily and they are excellent. Sturdy, light, non-slip, and easy to clean. I highly recommend them

Love these bowls! Very pleased with the quality. I use them all the time. Love the non slip bottoms and color coordinated lids. The bowls feel sturdy and not cheap. They will dent with abuse but I am careful with them.

I wanted to replace an old set of 3 hard plastic bowls with non-slip bases. Did not expect to like these, as I thought they would be noisy with metal utensils. So wrong--the non-stick base mutes any metal-on-metal sound, the bowl shape is great, and having more than one bowl mid-range solves a problem that had always been a work-around. The bowls are light-weight, and the rim makes handling them easy when mixing or moving a full bowl.

I purchased this for a wedding gift in Oct. I able to see and use the product myself recently. The bowls look good, are very nice quality with gripping base. The number of sizes offered are good multiple capacities, although I would have like one more size up in place of one of the other sizes. I noticed that the lids were a major struggle. They just didn't seem to close. Maybe there is a trick I am not aware of. Because of the lids and hoping for a size larger bowl I have to give it 4 stars.

These are heavier than I expected for the price. I had low expectations, but they're great. I like the silicone bottoms. I've been using them daily for 3 months in the kitchen and don't have any dings or scratches like other people have said. I also don't have any issue with the lids coming off in the fridge like other people said, they stay on strong for me. It's possible they're putting them on wrong to begin with, they're very tight to put on. You have to follow the directions, one side to the other, and push the air out. I think they work great. I use them in the kitchen, but I also use them for soap making. I can pre measure my oils out into the bowls, put the lids on, and set them aside until I'm ready. When I'm ready, I can pop the whole bowl over a pot of water and melt all the oils like a double boiler. I even made a batch (with lye) inside of one of the bowls (now removed from kitchen circulation) and it went great! I might buy a second pack for my soap room. I'll update my review if the bowls don't stand up to multiple batches of soap, but so far so good. I couldn't get an answer on what the lids are made of, so I would not leave the lids in contact with lye.

I ordered the multicolor because I love that the lids are color coordinated to the silicone bottoms! I don’t own calipers but I can feel the thickness of these bowls. They are very sturdy, the metal doesn’t flex at all. They are super shiny on the inside and brushed on the outside. I’m a cookie, bread and dessert making fool during the holidays and it’s great that I’m not having to wash bowls midstream. One dough needed to be refrigerated so I popped on the corresponding lid. Only 5 out of 6 lids vacuum seal when I press down on the center but that doesn’t bother me. I’m thrilled with this purchase and think the price is justified. They are holding up under electric mixer use too. The various sizes make them very versatile. The silicone bottoms make them very easy to use.
