I read this for a class and was actually surprised that I liked it as much as I did. I learned a lot about museums and how they are organised.

It's not really a problem of the book but more of what I expected out of it. When children visit museums does the event-character or the educational issue stand in the foreground?The book does not give a clear answer to that question and is more concentrated on the question of chronological hanging or not which for the young visitor does not play a role at all. For a teacher like me visiting a museum means education which includes facts, thinking, knowledge, depth, widening the horizon in a disciplined way in order to improve and build up an attitude of cognitive and emotional respect and orientation for our culture.
