An awesome improvement to the metal bottles mostly available these days.
In my first several years of work, my wife packed my lunch in a lunch bucket along with a Thermos bottle similar to this one. It always kept my coffee hot, not warm until lunch time and even later. As the years passed by it seems some really smart people got the bright idea to start making the bottles out of metal. I of course tried them and they really suck. These old-style bottles with a glass vacuum filler are much better because they actually keep the coffee or whatever they are filled with hot for many hours. I decided I would look for the old style vacuum bottle and fortunately found this one on Amazon. I love it and I know the glass filler will break if not handled fairly carefully. But I will never buy another metal bottle. I will never go back to metal.. I highly recommend this bottle if you like your beverage to stay hot!

Stays hot for hours!!!
Finally an old fashion glass insulation that actually works. I pour boiling water in around 5:30am. I use it by 3pm and is hot. Not boiling hot but is good for a hot cup of tea. Excellent product.

Likes and Concerns
UPDATE, 11 Jan 22: I've used this thermos daily for the past two years, and it retains heat as well as when it first emerged from the package. Well worth the price.I am a tea drinker, and stainless steel makes it taste metallic--not good. So I look for insulated beverage containers with glass liners. I make tea the old-fashioned way, with a teapot, and make two cups at a time. One goes into my mug, and the other waits inside my Thermos. My last one broke, so I was in the market for a new one. This one is relatively inexpensive but has some nice features, which are shown in the accompanying photos. The product comes in three colors--red, blue, and green--but buyers can't choose which one they get. It seems that would be an easy thing to accommodate.Pros:1. Heat retention: This one works better--keeps hot beverages at serving temperature longer than the last three or four I've had over the years. The top portion of the thermos, the part the cup covers when applied, gets a little warm, but putting on the cup may help prevent heat loss. The wider, lower part of the product remains cool to the touch, indicating good heat retention. I've stored a cup of tea in the thermos now for three hours, and if it cooled, I couldn't tell. Impressive.2. The lid is well designed, seals well, and is easy to screw on.3. This product has a pour spout, which I've not seen before. Not necessary but a nice touch.4. The bottom of the cup has three bumps designed to keep the cup a short distance above table or desk surfaces--maybe to help keep the beverage warm? Also not necessary but a nice touch.5. A rubber, non-slip piece is on the inside of the handle, something I've not previously seen. Another nice touch.A concern: The inside bottom of the cup has what appears to be two pieces of clear tape covering two scored lines. See photos. I don't think I'll be drinking out of the cup because of the possibility of drinking whatever adhesive is on the tape. That's weird, and is the reason for lowering the score by a star.

Don't Buy This!
The inside container is glass and broke before I even used it. It slipped out of my hand when I was taking the packaging off, and $18 down the tube.

The best for coffee so far.
It’s markedly better than any of the metal thermoses, even the pricey, well-known brands Many of which I’ve tried (and sent some back)Those metal ones won’t keep coffee within even 15% of the initial temp of the coffee for any more than 1 hrWith this - it is still hot at 2 hours. And close to hot at 3 hours. After that - at best warm. Lightweight. And you need to not bang it around. I would have given it 4 stars. But I ordered red and they sent me blue

Works Very Well
I chose this design for its wide base, making it harder to tip over. I'm using it to take hot beverages to work now that the weather is getting colder. I need my hot coffee in the morning. It's cheaper to make it myself at home and I know for sure what's in it, plus I don't have to deal with the other morning zombies at the convenience store (also a savings on gas, not to need to make that side trip).Another benefit of this container is that one can pour and drink as much or as little as you want, while the rest remains hot for next time. Convenience store cups burn your fingers and they are top-heavy. Anything can knock them over and you've lost your investment. And they very soon grow cold.I've not yet tested it for cold drinks, but I probably will come summer.Five-star product!
