6-Pod : Miracle-GRO AeroGarden Salad Greens Mix Seed Pod Kit (6-Pod)

My first go at the aero garden I used the herb pods provided in the kit, and two of them never grew. I was nervous ordering these from Amazon because I thought this might occur again, but all of these pods have begun to sprout. Unlike the herbs…which decided to all take off around the same time and making it impossible to use them all, we eat a ton of lettuce, so hopefully we can keep up with the production. They started sprouting within 3 days, which is also much faster than the herbs. The pods also came with a new bottle of plant food, but I’ve also just used miracle grow liquid plant food from Lowe’s and that worked just fine. The whole idea of hydroponic systems is relatively easy and user friendly. I’m my experience the first month or so is relatively hands off…once the plants start growing you’ll notice that the water level starts dropping every couple of days and you have to remember to water them. Plant food will need to be added at least once a week once the plants starts getting big. Hope this helps!

Nice winter project. Fresh salad greens. Takes several weeks till harvest. Regrows for second harvest. Did not like that pods were just labeled salad greens. Would like to know the type of lettuce in each pod. There seems to be several different varieties. Also one pod did not grow at all.

I got sick of tossing out unused salad green constantly that my daughter purchased for her pet bearded dragon so I have decided to start a vegetable garden for it.Pictured is what this kit looks like after 3 weeks of growing, just in time for the dragon's 1 yr birthday so we are all very happy with the purchase.Now the dragon will enjoy fresh treat daily and I won't feel guilty throwing away unused produce every few days.This makes for a nice table display & great night light source as I timed it to shut off right around bedtime.If there are some indoor flower kit options that are safe for dragon consumption I may just purchase another kit! (Hint hint 😉)

I was given an aero garden and honestly I was pretty skeptical. But wow. It took about 4 days for tiny shoots to appear and then it exploded. I've got the small version and if you're one person you can get a salad every other day out of it easily. Mine's been going for about 2 months now without showing any signs of slowing down.
