A Half Baked Idea: Winner of the Fortnum & Mason’s Debut Food Book Award

A shallow easy book with a serious 'spoke to me' theme running through.
It was like reading real life! 1ST PARAGRAPH OF CHAPTER 7 spoke exactly to what I was feeling/living. The book was fluff and interesting and life, but then suddenly it was giving so much more. It takes talent to put grief into words that you have spent years trying to capture. I would say to the Author....'Thanks for writing this'! Oh and the theme of 'great work'. And how 'grief instantly changes who you are'! Actually now that I ponder on this book I should have rated it a 5 Star +!!!

Grief and baking
Beautifully written exploration of grief and baking. There have been lots of enthusiastic reviews of this, and rightly so. The Cordon Bleu stuff is fascinating.
