This is a lovely soft and warm blanket, which came in handy a few times on our winter trip especially as we stayed in apartments a few times and couldn’t just call reception for extra blankets.However, note that it’s not terribly compact so if you take it in carry on, it’ll take up a far bit of space. That’s why I only gave four stars.

Really soft and Love it

I actually got this for an intended train trip (seems travelers need to provide their own blanket) which I haven't yet taken, due to scheduling changes, but I've been using this at home with the cold weather now setting in and, like any of the plush throw blankets that seem in abundance these days, this works well, providing a light weight cover that takes off the chill. Size is perfect, but, what I appreciate most is, of course, the included carry case.What makes most "throw covers" a bit inconvenient is where to throw them when not in use. This folds down quickly and easily into a very compact case and is neat and tidy and out of the way when you're done with it. Plus, with the blanket out of the case, you can put a towel or anything else inside, and wind up with a pillow and blanket combo. So, while this is great for travel, it's also terrific for home use.I haven't had any need to wash it yet, so I can't say how it stands up to cleaning, but it seems very well made, and of good quality, so, I will just follow the usual instructions for a plush blanket when that time comes, and I'm sure it will come out just fine.A great price for a convenient instant blanket solution. I know, I know. It's a BLANKET. But, as I am ALWAYS cold on planes, I cannot love this blanket enough. Folded, it's small enough to fit easily in my carry on. Unfolded, it's HUGE - plenty big enough to cover me when it's still folded in half. It's a perfect weight - not heavy, doesn't shed - yet it's WARM!!! AND, it EASILY goes back into it's case after use.Seriously. BUY THIS BLANKET!!!

I bought recently and have only used it once. It was comfortable and warm. If you are a person that is over 5' 7" or so, you will find it difficult to cover your entire body. You know, of course, when trying to sleep it is important to cover yourself from shoulders to feet. This cover won't do that. If that doesn't bother you this is a terrific thing. The other small drawback is trying to repack the item. As with anything that is tightly packed in a site where a mechanism doing the packaging, it is always almost impossible to put it back the same way. This is a little more important due the fact that part of the product is to use it as a pillow. Unless you are really good at packaging, you will have a very lumpy pillow. In my opinion the issues I mentioned are not enough to prevent you from trying this product.
