I am hooked!
I used to force myself to drink green tea to get the purported health benefits. Did not care much for the usual bitterness but in the name of health was willing to drink it. Then I tried matcha and I cannot go a day without drinking it now. Even though it has plenty of caffeine, I feel that it gives me energy without the caffeine "buzz".Cost: Anyway you slice it, matcha is expensive. There are so many choices, which grade do I want. is it organic, what kind of packaging, etc. And if it turns out to be bitter, you will be bitter for spending so much money. I began my quest for a balance of cost and flavor. So far, this product has been my favorite. The 100g bag was less than twenty dollars and lasted more than a month. It states on the package to use within 45 days of opening. I have used a teaspoon every day since opening and it is just about right to use up the bag within that time. And today, day 30, the matcha powder still tastes fresh, not bitter.Packaging: If price (and the environment) were not a concern, the individual serving "sticks" would probably be the best route as once matcha packaging is open, the product begin to oxidize. Buying in bulk is pointless. I have purchased the matcha powder "sticks" as well for freshness and ease when traveling but for me this is not sustainable. Bag packaging is preferable to a tin as with the bag, you can press the air out before sealing the zip lock top to diminish the contact with air. In a jar or tin, it is more exposed to oxidization. My one complaint about the packaging of this product is that the use by date was printed in black on a black part of the bag so nearly impossible to read. The good news is that the bag, which was received in February, had an expiration date of 12/2020. I have seen reviews for OTHER matcha products on Amazon where customers received matcha powder that was expired or undated.Flavor/consistency: This matcha is delicious and I have had no sensation of 'graininess' in my lattes. It is easy to blend completely, now that I have nailed down my method.Matcha Latte recipe: My recommendation for the best matcha latte is as follows.Put a heaping teaspoon of matcha powder in a big cup, add a few tablespoons of hot water and whisk. I use a hand whisk. Then I add a tiny bit of honey, (sometimes I leave the honey out and it is still delicious) and a cup or so of Oatly oat milk. I have tried all kinds of milks, from Strauss full fat cream top to macadamia nut milk and hands down, for my taste, I LOVE Oatly oat milk. It tastes better than all other oat milks, even. When you use oat milk with matcha, it gives it a little natural sweetness if you don't want to add honey, and the matcha latte is reminiscent of mochi. You can even add a couple drops of vanilla. Heat it on the stove or microwave then whisk it. You can use a stick blender or even a standing blender but a small hand wisk works perfectly for me with less clean up. Voila, you have a delicious, healthy beverage. Warning, they are addictive!

Excellent Cacao
A friend turned me on to the benefits of cacao. He uses a bean but the process of grinding, boiling, straining, and then letting it seep for ten minutes was too time consuming so I opted for a powder. I looked at quite a few brands at Amazon. The important thing is to read the back of the package that is pictured and the Supplement Facts chart. That chart breaks down all the nutrients in the package. The Zen Spirit brand had many more than the other brands. Mixed with hot water it tastes great, almost like a hot chocolate just thinner. It blended well other than a small amount of residual powder left in the bottom of the cup despite having been stirred. The only issue is that the packing did not seal well after opening so I put the contents in a plastic container. Overall the product exceeded my expectations and I will be ordering it again.

Replace it with this.
If there's something you need to get away is from added sugar cocoa like other products this is by far the best quality cacao that there's in the market. My daughters love this right after I replace the other one much better of a healthy options.

Taste great. Not sure it's worth the price.
This product taste great and is easy to mix in a warm drink with little effort. However, after finding cheaper organic options in my grocery store, I'm not sure it's worth the extra money. I would have to try them to say for sure. It is not a deep, dark chocolate color as expected. Due to the price, I would probably not order again.

RAW and organic
All natural, no sugar, nothing added. Fine taste, nutritious drink. I often drink it instead coffee which is very acidic. Smooth chocolate taste, I add a few drops of stevia. Great for diabetics.

Great taste and quality
First, the taste of Zen Spirit’s Organic Cacao Powder is amazing. It’s not bitter or overpowering. It’s bold and rich with a deep chocolate flavor that’s perfect. I wish all dietary supplements could taste this good.I’ve used the powder to make a cup of hot cacao milk and it worked perfectly. I really appreciate how the powder blended into the almond milk and didn’t clump up or separate from the milk. I also used it in banana ice cream. It blended in smoothly and gave the ice cream a rich flavor. As for its ingredients, I love that the only ingredient is organic cacao nut, and there are no added preservatives or unnecessary ingredients. I also love that this powder is packed with nutrients. I’m always looking for ways to get more magnesium in my diet, and this is a delicious way to do that. The caffeine is a plus as well! One thing I did notice is that “copper” is misspelled as “cooper” in the supplement facts list, but this doesn’t take away from the actual powder.I’d also like to note that the packaging is very good. I’ve bought supplements and powders in similar packaging in the past, and the packaging and resealable tops were disappointing. However, the Zen Spirit cacao powder package closes well and I feel like the powder will stay fresh in it.The description of the powder, where it’s harvested from, and the explanation of its quality are great bits of information to include on the packaging. After reading about where the cacao powder has come from and what makes it superior to other powders, I feel even more confident that it’s a great supplement. The only thing that could make the packaging better would be if it included some fun recipes to use the powder in.
