Great beginner set. Scissors aren't the best.
After reading the comments, a lot of people have stated that the scissors are absolute garbage. After tying 20 flies or so, the scissors are struggling a little bit. They're doing fine, but we'll see after the next 20 flies. As for the other tools... I LOVE THEM. They are cheap, but efficient and hold up really well. My favorite things are the whip finisher and bobbin. They are great quality.

Nice tool kit. Has everything you’ll need
This kit has all the tools you need to tie flies. I like the bobbin, the hackle pliers I’m not too keen on, but I haven’t used them yet. Maybe I’ll be surprised.

Get What You Pay For
Item received as described. Tools appear to all be made in Pakistan. Other than the scissors (which seem to be of sturdy construction; but I can see daylight between the blades; my cuticle-scissors are better,) all of the tools, and the pouch, appear to be well made. I purchased for myself to learn fly tying, and I have been able to effectively use the Bobbin and the Whip-Finisher to learn to attach thread to the hook; the tools work as they should. That said, I would not buy this as a gift: Get a decent name-brand Bobbin, scissors, and whip-finisher and Hackle-pliers. There are many online sources for gerry-rigging things like Bodkins, Bobbin--threaders, "Knot-tools"(?!) The pouch might be useful for travel.

Good tying set
The instruments don't feel cheap- they're well made and feel good and heavy in your hand. The scissors cut well even at the end of the blade. The bobbin felt a little tight but I haven't lubricated them yet. It's small enough I can roll it up, fit it in my backpack and tie a fly right on the river.

Awesome case. Terrible hackle pliers
Overall a good starter set. Hackle pliers didn’t work at all, they sleighed even when grabbing larger hackle with minimal forceCase is very nice, plenty of room to add other tools as you go.

it a good kit the tools a good quality but i have found you don't need all both them you could get away with buy just the bobbin and bobbin threader. the whip finish tool you don't need you can get away with tie a girth hitch.
