Red River Vengeance: 5 (A Perley Gates Western)

Like the 'Perley Gates' series. He always managers to find the cow pie.

Another great yarn about Perley Gates from author William W. Johnstone. Perley has a new challenge when the bank in Paris gets robbed and they snatch Becky and take her with them when they escape out of town. The Posse goes after them but their horses are tired and they have no supplies so they turn around at the Red River. When Perley is told that the bank was robbed and they kidnapped Becky he immediately says I’m going after them. Quite the story and filled with lots more challenges and shootouts.

This was a story of Perely dealing with two different over confident outlaws, especially Robert aka "Red"Quinn who valued his reputation more than his life or freedom.

Enjoyed another book by this author. Some different twist and turns than my first read from him. Enjoyed it and will be reading more of his books.

I really enjoyed this book. Not only was there suspense throughout but some quite amusing conversations that occurred during the reading. I’m still a fan of William W. Johnstone and encourage anyone who enjoys story of the old west to read any of his books.
