Arnica Montana L. - Dried Arnica Montana 1 lb Bulk

Ordering at the right time of year makes a difference.
I needed arnica because it doesn't grow well in my part of the country, and wanted Arnica Montana, which seems be be increasingly difficult to find. I located Sweet Pea on Amazon, and despite mixed reviews, chose to order a pound of arnica montana. It arrived this morning and this is what I received (photo of bag, so you know it's legit). These are obviously freshly harvested and dried, good color, and vibrant fragrance. I went through the bag looking for mold, dirt, and other things that have been mentioned. Are there stems? Yes - but I estimate less that 3% of this bag is stem, which is also a good indication of quality. Note the date of my purchase, as well. I've been purchasing bulk herbs for 25 years, and have learned a couple of things in that time. 1). The closer you purchase to the actual harvest time of the year, the better quality you will get. 2) Companies only have so much stock, so as you move through the year, inconsistencies in quality are bound to happen. There are a few exceptions to this rule, but they are generally very small companies that grow everything they sell. 3). Crops vary from year to year. Period. I'm quite pleased with my purchase and will immediately add this to my warrior oil. It will also be moved from the plastic packaging to a glass jar and stored out of sunllght and heat, so when I inevitably run out of oil, it will retain its integrity for some time to come.

Pretty good, especially for the price
I have made an oil and salve out of this arnica. The dried flowers looked old to me. There were very few yellow petals mixed in at all, just a bag of dried fluff and stems. However, the fluff and stems have medicinal qualities, too, and there was a faint scent to the warmed arnica oil. I made the oil extremely strong. After about a week of use, I am seeing a bit of difference in foot pain. It takes arnica time to heal tissues. I have hope that there is enough medicinal quality in this arnica to help over time. I combined it with cayenne oil, and peppermint oil, to increase absorption through the skin. Will I buy it again? Maybe. First, I am going to try and grow it myself!

... flowers were fresh smelling and made up into a wonderful heat infusion
The flowers were fresh smelling and made up into a wonderful heat infusion. The downside was the number of stems that had to be picked out, as well as a considerable amount of dirt.

Blooming over with plenty of Arnica Flower's from Sweet Pea Spice
Yeah,.... I needed these and they came with so many flowers. I will be brewing tea for myself and family for days. I also utilize these flowers in my spiritual works, great purchase and will recommend anyone to get Arnica Flowers from Sweet Pea Spice. They are very fast on shipping and packaging was very professional.

Disappointing
As other customers have noted the arnica sold by this company is littered with debris & stems. Very uncertain of the quality of the flowers as they don’t look vibrant and the packaging is also poor. Disappointed that there are people in business selling herbs who aren’t doing the plants any justice- just out to make a buck I guess. I recommend steering clear!!

Fresh smelling flowers, huge amount of stems.
Just received this product. The dried material smells very fresh, unfortunately there is a huge amount of stems and debris included. Some of the stems poked through the plastic bag. I am not used to having to clean my dried herbs to this degree.
